So I was thinking maybe it would be good for my personality to have the structure of an online school, but I'd prefer private over public. So I was looking at prices and what a rip off! K12 international academy is as expensive as two private "bricks and mortar" schools here. I found one online private school that's cheaper, but I think I've decided if I homeschool, it's probably not worth it to pay for a private school until maybe high school when it would help with graduation and maybe getting into college. I just thought the prices were ridiculous and I've already bought some curriculum materials for doing it myself. just venting and trying to make some conversation. :O)

We do a virtual program though the county its free, there are a few others that are free also depending state ect. Then we add what we want, building the whole thing myself was very overwhelming, premade full cirriculums sometimes are good, most people I know mix and match/. the countys program has worked good for us this year and my son gets required state testing through the year, I have suppoet and free tutouring as needed and if we stick with he will have full transcripts and an actual diploma. All FREE!
