Hi,
My name is Alana White and I have three boys. They are all three years apart, and my youngest had his first haircut yesterday. It was so hard to cut his cute little curls and now he looks EXACTLY like his brothers. Before, he looked so cute and cuddly- lol I guess I can't get over the fact that he's a one year old now. I hope I'm not the only mom out there who feels like they're growing up way too fast!

My son is 13 months and still has not had a hair cut. He has beautiful curly hair, and his father LOVES it. I like it too, but it takes time to maintain and I keep saying that he is a boy and boys get haircuts. Also, people keep confusing him with a girl, even though he is clearly wearing boys clothes, lol. I have to admit though, that I also love his curly hair, I just cant seem to part with it just yet. Yes I agree with Alana, they grow up way to fast!

Yea, my son is half African American half white. I have pretty difficult hair, his dad has the typical nappy hair, so either way he wasn't getting smooth hair. He was born with it though, perfectly straight and black. It was, "um, where did you get that from!?" but he lost all of that. It's a reddish brown (more brown but its been slowly going reddish) and everywhere.

Yeah, tell me about it! It makes me kinda sad, because Xaine (my youngest) had just perfect cute little curls, but they always ended up a knotted mess and he'd never stand still so I could brush it. XD I don't know HOW my mom dealt with my curls, since I'm half african american, part white and Japanese. She just let me have a massive afro and I'm pretty sure I didn't stand still so she could brush it and braid it. I almost kinda wish I had boys with straight hair, so I could at least spike it cute!

Oh trust me, your not! I am still trying to decide if I want to cut my son's hair or not. He has curls and a LOT of them, but they aren't all uniform and cute. Well.. they are cute.. on some days. On other days he looks like he has a bit rat nest on the top of his head. I have to spray down his head and comb it every morning to make it look decent. I don't always have that kind of time.
I hate to see his hair go... but it really is starting to become a headache. It will be better when it gets long I think... but this in-between stage is no fun.
