house was completely shocking tonight and the website www.fox.com/kutner,,,looks so real! someone please tell me that "HE" didnt really die, and just died on the show, Because fox made it look so real????? Im a huge fan and cant believe he's gone?

OMG as well, we here in Oz see this episode tomorrow night and the ads dont let on who it is that dies so that will teach me to join this group eh? As if I ddnt see it coming....LOL

Thanks for all the information on this episode. I am in Australia and this episode does not air until Wednesday night here, now I am ready for it. I knew someone killed themselves but I would have thought it was Taub.. definately not Kutner. How Shocking!!!

I too am sad about Kutner's "suicide". Although I also think that was a great way to write him off. It brought a worldwide awareness to mental illness / suicide and they gave great facts about the percent of suicides that are not expected. It just makes people more aware of those in their circles.

I always referred to him as Kumar and so did my husband. But we both loved that movie and were shocked to see him play such a serious character on House. It won't be the same without him.

I heard he really did die, Now someone has the wrong information.....HUMMMM. It did shock me very much. I liked him. I do love the show and will watch it anyways.

I too, did not see the suicide coming. While I hate to see "Kutner" go, at least it was on good terms, and not the typical Hollywood scene (asking for more money, etc). That's refreshing! I hope the writers take note of the 'shock and awe' they created with this suicide. It does indeed keep the story line fresh. All too many shows end up dying away from the complacent writing that comes with years of series renewals.

Basically, he didn't show up for work, so Foreman and 13 went to his apartment to find him. When they walked in (13 had a key for some reason) they found him laying in his bedroom in a pool of blood with a gun beside him. They never actually showed *him*, just his legs through the doorway. They tried to do CPR but he was already gone.

The only way that the viewer really knew what was going on was Foreman was on his cell phone calling 911 and yelling about a single gunshot wound to the head. I about fell off the couch at that point.....

I wish they would have left it where he could come back, just in case his current career plan doesn't work out. The suicide thing is just so final. Kutner was one of my favorites!

When I heard they had killed off Kutner, I just could not watch the episode!! I finally watched yesterday (to be ready for tonight's eppy) and it was really sad. I know the actor was going off to do his thing in DC, just wished they had written him off instead of killing the character.

I also found out that him committing suicide without any warning will affect House. This has allowed the writers to take the show in a direction that they have been wanting to but were unable to without some big event happening to cause it. I was sad to see Kutner go. I liked him!

If you go to the IMDB.com website and search for Kal Penn there is a few articles about his decision to leave House. He met Obama during his campagin and when Obama won he quit acting to be an Associate Director in the Office of Public Liaison. As Penn says: "They do outreach with the American public and with different organizations. They're basically the front door of the White House. They take out all of the red tape that falls between the general public and the White House.

I was blown out of the water by this week's episode! I certainly never saw it coming. He was a great dr and the show won't be the same without him. Props to him for following his passion, though, and taking a job at the White House.

I know what a shock, totally caught me off guard!!! I had to google to find out what happened, I couldn't believe it!! The actor, Penn, got a job at The White House!! That's why he left the show so suddenly. I guess he must think that's more interesting that acting :) So sad though because he was one of my fav's on House's team.

I found out the Kal Penn (Kutner) left the show to work for President Obama. He's going to work in politics. He said in an interview that he's always had a passion for it.

From what I can tell, the actor (Kal Penn) is still alive - I did some major searching because this was so totally unexpected. I have no idea what possessed them to do this, but it was definitely a shocker!!!
