What did you think of the Season Finale?

The season finally was awesome! I just hope that this time he is not hallucinating! You never know with him! I would like to think that I would go on a "Gut feeling" I haven't been wrong yet! We all need a Dr. House, rude, crude and awesome! Can't wait for the new season to start!

OMG!!! That was the BEST HOUSE episode yet! It was truly heartfelt when Foreman opened up the back of the ambulance and revealed all those sad faces. It was an amzing episode that I have watched over and over again! (Kudos to hulu.com!) I can't believe Cuddy actually told him she loved him. That was UNEXPECTED! Can't wait until next season to see what's up with 13. I think maybe she is the "other woman" in the bald dr's life. (i keep forgetting his name!) But hey thats just my opinion! Other than that, I LOVED the season finale!

Wow. Looks like I have the one dissenting opinion...



I was torn between loving (the storyline between House and the woman who died) and hating (House and Cuddy hooking up) the season finale. House is my favorite show and I don't want them to @$%! it up, and now that all of the tension between those characters is removed, that's what I see happening. I don't think we really WANT him to be an "in-love, kinder, gentler" House. How boring is that?



I just see this as having the potential to take away the whole reason everyone loves the character of House, thus ruining the show. If there's no tension between House and Cuddy, then they're boring. If House becomes more pleasant, tolerant and "nice" he loses his edge. What kind of storylines are we going to see?



I'm just crossing my fingers, hoping that they know what they're doing. Although I like House and Cuddy together theoretically, I don't think I really like the boring storylines it could lead to.



It doesn't help that I didn't really buy Cuddy's conversion. He does ONE thing 1.)she feels is "noble," and 2.)that fails and seriously negatively affects him, and she immedietely throws over her fiance? For someone she knows (from her--repeated--experience in the past) is not going to magically turn into the person she thinks he ought to be??



It struck me as a little forced and a little fake, like the writers (or producers, or whomever) decided, "whatever--fans want Cuddy and House together--just give it to them."



I'm hoping that they don't change the character of House too drastically or permanently. I mean, seems to me that the supporting characters are so focused on trying to make House become who and what they think he OUGHT to be that they don't appreciate who and what he IS (like the fans do, right? ; ) ), and therein lies part of the wonderful storylines we enjoy so much. The back-and-forth/uncertainty between House and Cuddy is another part, and House's personality (before the season finale, anyway) is another. All that now has the potential to go away if they play happily-ever-after with this storyline. Anyone who has watched soap operas knows that once you get two characters together, you automatically lose the most interesting storylines for them, and you have to get more and more outrageous to make them interesting, and eventually, they just stop being interesting no matter what you do.



I personally liked House the way he was. If he turns into some whiny, in-love, watching-his-step wuss, I'm going to be very disappointed, and it would be hard for me to continue watching. That would make me very sad, because it's my favorite show.



With any luck, the writers and producers and directors won't let this degenerate into some mushy soap opera. If there's no tension, there's no story. At the end of a romance novel, they may live happily ever after, but we don't want to read about it, right? At least I don't. The tension between the characters, the adventure, the STORY is what we love, and to be quite frank, I don't care what happens after the hero and heroine get together. I'm sure it's boring as hell.



I want a brilliant, wicked, funny House, unfettered by the "I have to act in a certain way, be a certain way, and not do or be this, this or this, because it'll disappoint Cuddy" attitude. That would totally ruin the character of House.



My two cents.

I cried, hands down. When he was talking to the woman about why he should have let them take his leg, then when he finally said those three little words to Cuddy oh man. I cried. As for following my gut and thinking someone was crying out for help, I don't know. I can't really answer that since I've never been in that sort of situation. I would probably have been too scared though, not sure.

i am so upset. i have no idea how it happened, but i missed the entire show. (and i love the show and look forward to it every week.) so he got back his lady? i am now gonna have to wait to get it on a dvd i guess. just venting. sorry! i'm sure it will be on again some time. thanks for filling me in as much as you did.

Unbelievable never thought they'd really get together and she would say she loved him, it was so cool, opens up alot of stuff they can do with the couple like the baby interaction, should be interesting can't wait till next season to see what they do.

Love it...House is my favorite show. I am so glad that Cutty finally told House she loved him. It just made me tear up. I hope that they work out...you never know what the writers will do. Next season cannot come soon enough
