Am moving to Houston soon and am looking to find expecting moms and moms in general and playgroups. I have a 20 month old and she is very energetic. Am going to be new there and don't know much.

Hi everyone, I'm new to the group and looking for a little support. I'm in the middle of relocating to Houston. Hubby and I thought this would be easy as far jobs sense he's a teacher and I'm with Wells Fargo. Boy, we were we wrong. the job market is tough. Any suggestions.......

I have to agree...Kemah Boardwalk is by far the best kid-friendly place in Houston (that I have found)! I too am curious about the underground shopping downtown...never heard of it! I have lived in the Houston area since 1998.

My favorite place so far in texas would have to be the khema boardwalk! We live about 30 min. away from it and I try to take the kids as often as possible. ( my daughter likes to ride the "horsie" or in other words the carousel.) We are also looking forward to going to the pasadena strawberry festival next weekend!

I will add a little something. We moved to TX from MO Aug. 2007 and our daughter was diagnosed with Myelodysplastic and Monosomy 7. We were in the best place for her to recieve treatment. We are very blessed to live just north of Houston and have the Medical Center.
We would like to enjoy more of what is around us. If you have any suggestions of things to do, please let me know. We have been to the Children's Museum and the zoo along with a few other small things but what else is out there? Heck, what about places for date night for mom and dad. I do watch "Great Day Houston" when I can and seen something about shopping underground. What is that all about.
