My son recently had hypospadias repair done at Vanderbilt Childrens....I just so concerned with the way his little peepee is looking now they told us to follow up with his primary care dr and we did the 3 days post surgery and he said everything looked fine but every time i change his diaper i am super concerned that it is not healing correctly...no signs of infection and he doesnt seem to be bothered by anything. I just dont want it healing wrong and it being worse than it was before surgery. Is it normal for it to be a little rough looking the first couple of weeks (we are now 10 days post op) I am calling the doctor again in the morning to schedule another appt for him to look at it again (they are going to hate me by the time this is over lol) I would just like to know what some other people's experiences were with this surgery healing wise thanks!

How is your son doing now? After both of my sons surgeries I noticed it took a few weeks to look better. As the swelling goes down, it will look even better! Does he have a followup surgery?

My son is having his surgery this Thursday, which will be a day procedure. Have your son's displayed much pain after the surgery?

my son had surgery on tuesday and i am very concerned about alot of things , like we go 2mrw to have bandages off and catheter out is that as painful as im imagining? My son is 3 and 1/2 ad very active but he has not been able to move at all since his surgery im worried about blood clots his pain is so heavy at times he jsut screams is this normal? Please if anyone reading this has been here help me tell me anything that may help!!

I can't offer anything since we are awaiting surgery in the summer. Just wanted to let you know that we are thinking about you and that we hope your little guy is doing well.
