Hi. My son is having his surgery on Wednesday, and was wondering if any of you have any words of wisdom, suggestions, questions I should be asking??? We have a great surgeon and am confident that the surgery will go well.....just very nervous. What should I expect after?????

Hi Kristin, I am not sure where in the world you are and what your hospitals etc are like so it is difficult to offer advice other than to say that you shouldn't be dissappointed if the first one isn't successful as each operation improves the chances of a full repair.
Also, don't be scared of the catheter if you have one - my son's first op was at a similar age as yours and it was the easiest of the three that we went through.
Just love him and take it slowly. Good luck and let me know how it goes!
