My son is 18mo. and has been foppy for a while and all I'v gotten i as few lil' blood tests.?..(

wth?? i need to know more, and the doctors dont tell me crap and I might as well make myself crAzY LOL reading all this intrenet stuff..So Mom's ,? help me out please tell me what test to order look for What? I kno every child is different BUT differences is what were lookin' for right~ meanwhile I'll be at the hosptial @ 7am tommrrow giving them another ~8~

YES *8* vials of my baby blood .. hmmm? do any of you overnight blood to Mass. ? if ya wanna chat privately friend me and message me .

Agreed, find a neurologist ped. Ask for an MRI. Get in touch with Early Intervention. Check your state website. You will most likely qualify for free services- as Michelle mentioned, OT and PT and Speech- and they will come out to your home for the therapy. Get the ball rolling NOW because I think the kids age out at 3 years. If you have Medicaid you can also get private services from other companies. Google Physical and Occupational services in your area. My daughter qualified for disability under Social Security for Medicaid benefits because of her low birth weight. Call SS to see what you need to get started. Your hospital social worker should be glad to get you the paperwork you need. For us, it was a letter from the hospital stating that she was 2 lbs 13 oz at birth. What made a huge difference, is the addition of the Anat Baniel Method and a pediatric chiropractor to the PT and OT that she has been getting since she was 3 months old. Spend a lot of time doing tummy time and play on the floor in the mean time. Best of luck. I'm here to chat too. My daughter is 22 months and just started crawling- TODAY.

Do you have a Disability and special needs office in your area? If so contact them but your sons pediatrician should be working with you and for your son...sounds like my 1st ped and I left him and went else where and got better results and help. He shouldn't be 18mo's and no one has given you anything. Thats bull....eceryday is important to build his muscles and strength up...I recommend you switch doctors. Blood test do not show muscle disorders..........

Tania, that doesnt make ant sense. The doctors should be doing more. If your lit'l boy has been floppy why havent they sent you to a pediactric nuerologist ?.....You should be getting physical and ocupational therephy for him. I'm not sure how your state works but here in SC. we have BabyNet and they come to the house till the child turns 3.Can he sit up?....walk?....need more info. Be glad to chat with you and share my experience if it can help.
