How far along were you when you gave birth to the youngest Irish twin?

I'm due in 8 weeks. I've heard a lot of women who get pregnant right after having a baby have a premature labor. How far along were you when you gave birth to the second Irish twin?

My first was 3 days past his due date and my 2nd was a week before hers, but only because I had a planned c-section due to my son being a c-section

My daughter was born exactly on her due date. So I was exactly 40 weeks. My son (the elder Irish twin) was also born exactly on his due date too. Both were carried full term. My husband and I were just busy - tehehee

I had mine 1st jan 2 and the next Dec 21 full term no complications so I know it is possible. Good Luck and congrats.

my youngest was born at 33 weeks, but the last three pregnancies were preemie. I only carried to term with the first two.

she was born at 32 weeks but my oldest twin was born about 33 weeks so both mine came early. my oldest child was born at 34 weeks.

Mine were born at 36 wks, but they were twins, so we expected them early. I had a previous back-to-back pregnancy (stillborn son May 1996 and our daughter May 1997), and she was over a week overdue!

After 3 months on total bedrest, my 2nd was born at 37 weeks. (He tried to make his debut at 25 weeks.) According to my OB/GYN, when you deliver your 2nd has more to do with when you delivered your first and less to do with how close your pregnancies are. If you delivered early in your first pregnancy, you are at a higher risk of delivering early in subsequent pregnancies. Good luck!

I am interested to hear others' answers to this. I am 22 weeks pregnant with my second child who is due 8 days before my daughter was due last year...so I am wondering if I should anticipate earlier labor than I had with my first childbirth
