My 5 1/2 year old son started kindergarten on Wednesday, Aug 1st. Not only did he start kindergarten, but I switched his daycare provider. I received a phone call from his teacher today, he's acted up everyday since. I'm not saying he's an angel at home, we have our issues there. But I'm ultimately embarrassed and have no idea how to handle this issue. He had homework Wednesday and Thursday. Simple tasks. He flipped out over doing them. He was refusing to write his name because he said he couldn't do it. I'm a single mom and we live with my grandmother. She helps out when she can, but for the most part it's just me and him. I am needing advice on how to handle this. His teacher said that he knocked the stuff off her desk, is talking back, not following directions, not listening, being disruptive, throwing himself on the ground. He's causing problems in school and this is only day two. She has him sitting in isolation which means he's at a desk alone. I could use any and all advice, I have no idea how to handle this situation, he's my only child.
