you think you need all this time away?? i was fortunate to have some help but as soon as i left my house i wanted to turn around. its hard to get away and totally free your mind, find someone for maybe one night or 12 hrs, lock ur self up in a nice hotel get away and spend that LOVER time. You will be happy and so will ur kids because you were not gone for too long. It workd for me

I hope you enjoyed yourself. I am taking one night for just myself this weekend and am very excited about it. It is my birthday present from my husband. I am going to a touristy town a couple hours from my home to shop and rest and read a book!! I hope I can enjoy myself and not think about how it is going for my husband and how he will be when I get back (if it goes too bad I will probably never get to do this again). We get away together when my mom comes to visit, but I have not been by myself for almost 4 years and I used to be such a "need my space" kind of gal. Wish me luck.

I never do either! It's my husband fault! He is the paranoid parent. What if he falls cause no one's watching him, what if he gets into some thing, what if he hurts himself, and on and on! My Mother In Law watches our son for the most, two hours so we can go see a movie and go right back and pick him up. I love that my husband is so adoring to our son but come on dad he's almost four! A weekend or over night get away is so needed here!

I HEAR YOU, SISTER! Do you not maybe have a friend nearby that you trust to look after your kids? I am very fortunate to have a great friend who have looked after my twins, allthough I have to admit it was when I had seminars on over weekends . . . If you and your hubby could at least have the Friday night to "rest" and then maybe get to have some romance on Saturday! Then maybe you can also have a bit of ME time on the Sunday. Make sure you do something you like ON YOUR OWN.
My mom came for a nice long visit in January and my husband and I at least had a weekend away alone then. Hope you manage to find someone who can help out.
