Does anyone have kids with sensitivities to laundry detergent (or yourself)?

My 4 1/2 yo is on round 2 of random hive eruption. Exactly the same red itchy bumps as the first time and we have no idea how the first batch cleared. They aren't bites and she has no food allergies. I'm thinking it's related to the laundry because after the first time I only used Arm & Hammer, just to see. I was having my own bit of an outbreak. Once it all cleared I thought I was wrong, so figured it was OK to use what we had. It's been about a week or 2 with random usage of ALL (I think). Overnight, literally, BAM! If you have someone in your family with this allergy/sensitivity what are the symptoms? What are your successes? Can I just rinse all the clothing (good Lord!) w/vinegar and hope that helps?

My son has had allergies to laundry detwrgent and most soaps. I tried tide and add baking soda to the water when washing his clothes. For his hives advantan emulsion and whatever allergy syrup he is on

Fortunately my 5yr old daughter doesn't have skin irritations, but as for myself I can't say the same. Since the day after I gave birth to my daughter I've had eczema on my hands and arms, never had it a day in my life before. But I reliazed changing to any brand of detergent thats free and clear lessons any skin irritations I have. And recently I discovered I get an immediate skin irritation to stickers, I don't know whats on them but my skin gets very red and itchy, sad for my daughter whole likes to decorate me with every sticker she owns.

i have the same problem both me and my son. you can spend a little more money on the dreft but the all free and clear works wonderful and saves you some money. also you may want to check the fabric softener. alot of people are allergic to them. for my son he can use the free in clear dryer sheets but i can't use any they all make me itch and get red bumps if used more than once. once my mother did my clothes for me and she used her tide and downy. i had to run them through a prewash and rince then a regular wash and rince. after that they were ok and it didn't bother me.

I am allergic to tide and my son has very sensitive skin and we use "all free and clear" it works well for us.

I have always used detergents that are for sensitive skin (all free and clear) because my mom is allergic to tide and she watches the children. But I also know that some other parents are allergic to dryer sheets or even the softeners. I know that I had to rewash everything that I had washed in tide in another detergent and not use bleach at all because it bothered my mother. Good luck
