Hi everyone,

Welcome to the January 2007 Babies community, where we chat about our January 2007 children and whatever else is on our minds!

To get things started, I thought it would be nice if we all introduced ourselves in this thread, which will be pinned to the community home page. Whether you're a Circle of Moms veteran or you're new to the site, let us know who you are, what you’re interested in, and what your lovely January 2007 child is up to right now, developmentally speaking!

Hi, I'm Tracie. I have one child, so I guess it narrows down who my January 2007 baby is. My interests include, but aren't limited to, martial arts, natural health care, and my family. Kassidy was born on the 23rd. She started daycare/preschool this past August, and is developing her speech by leaps and bounds at this point. It's been good for her to be with children her age... Cuts down on some of her "Only Child Syndrome" problems. :-) She counts successfully to 10, knows most of the words to your standard nursery rhyme songs, is grasping a little more of the alphabet every day, and the potty training is starting to get her attention. Outside of that, she's your standard toddler... She's active, loves to run, dump out all her toys and refuse to pick them up, eat half of her meal and declare herself finished, etc... I think my access to and understanding of Isotonix Might-a-mins makes a huge difference in her days... Not a chewable!!! She thinks it's JUICE! You can get more info on those at www.allforkassidy.com Just click Get Paid to Shop and then search Might-a-mins. We don't go a day without, "Vitamins, please, Mommy!"

Hi I am Jennifer and my youngest was also born on Jan 15 2007!!! Lol He is my angel, the type of child who would rather go off and play by himself then be bothered by his older brother and sister! Very well mannered and quiet! Cameron has thee most vivid imagination I have ever seen in a child always off in his own little world! (Swears he is gonna be Tony Stark/Iron Man when he grows up) He is supper excited about starting kindergarten in the fall. He gets to go to school with Aiden and Makennzie (who are 7 and will be in second grade) All three of my kids are brilliant it will be very interesting to see how they grow and learn!

Hi, I'm Erin. My son was born Jan. 15th 2007. He's now a very opinionated, but wonderful 5 year old. He'll be starting school in August. It's scary for me and very exciting for him. Though he's having some trouble adjusting to me going from stay at home mommy to working. We're considering another, and he recently asked for "a little brother for his birthday, but a little sister would be OK too, maybe".

Hello, my name is carmen, I have two children, Jaxon 6 and Tayah 4 (my jan 07 baby) I have begun getting crafty with bows and new hairstyles, and all kinds of things with tays hair since she started school this year... The only big issue I worry about with tay is that she still sucks her thumb and no matter what I have done I can't get her to stop.... We have done hot sauce, jalepeno juice, that over the counter stuff. nothing works. At this point I have been discussing with the dentist a thumb gaurd cause as it is they are going to have to put a spacer in when her first permanent molars come in. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Hi, My name is Kayla I'm 27 and I'm married to my best friend, his name is Daren, D for short and he's 33, D and I have 3 beautiful daughters, Marieka, who will be 8 in 14 days (18th feb), Leya who just turned 4 (My Jan, 25 2007 princess) and Amrina, who will be 1 in 11 days(15th feb)! We also have 14 angel babies, from 12 miscarriages (I know, it's a wonder i'm still sane, but i am very blessed to have these baby girls)

Leya is doing quite well in most things, she is smart as a whip, knows so much, the only places we have issues is growth and i guess "internally" Leya is only 25lbs and is only 34 inches tall. quite small for her age, and she doesn't seem to really be able to grow properly, we are in the process of doing testing, which is getting us...well no where fast to be honest, we know a ton she doesn't have, but no closer to an answer (they suspect they know, but dr says no "test" for it so we have to rule out everything else to get there), and she seems to not be able to process food properly or have great control over her bowel functions (she essentially has the bm's of a child who just started solids) but otherwise she is really a little fire cracker and she can hold her own!

It seems she was born yesterday. She's a doll, friendly to everyone all the time, outgoing as can be...are all January girls that way I wonder? lol She's my first of 2 girls, I had her at age 34 & her sister at age 35, 15 months apart :) I stay at home with them & though it's hard sometimes, they're mostly a joy. I wouldn't have it any other way. She's almost got writing her name down, she can write most of the alphabet...but she can't get counting straight when she gets to the teens yet, lol...11, 12, 14, 14, fiveteen, not fifteen, fiveteen..it's really cute. I could go on & on...again ty for the invite.

I'm Christi and it looks like I've joined quite a bit later than most of you but I have two boys, Nicholas is 6 and Noah is my January 2007 baby. They are as different as night and day in some respects and twins in others. Noah is only now showing an interest in learning. We thought it bizarre at first because our first actually started reading at 2 and writing his name all over my house by 3. We've since realized that Noah is 100% developmentally on track, and so was Nicholas, for him.

A kind of weird thing that Noah is doing he calls Noahville. We were at lunch one day and he was licking the chips instead of eating them. When I asked why he said that the Queen of Noahville commanded all Noah's to just eat salt. LOL! He never says I don't know, it's always because that's what they do in Noahville, or the Queen commands it... it's crazy but hilarious.

They are so different than girls. Anthony has so much energy and is so wild. My older girls were never like that. Everyone tells me it is because he is a boy. He is a total mammas boy though and I love it. I am a stay at home mom for now. I had my older girls and then was told I could never have anymore. Well I have 2 more that totally proved all those doctors wrong. Well that is me in a nut shell. I am very happy to find a sight that is for moms since my whole life revolves around my kids I very rarely get out to talk to other moms, I am hoping to get what I need from here. Hello moms of January 2007 babies:) My name is Dawn and I have a son name Craig Jr, born on January 17 (of course 2007). He is a hyper boy, I know all toddlers usually are but he takes it to the next notch. I stayed home with him until he was about 1 and then took a part time job @ night. After working @ that job for 2 and a half years I quit, because my husbands job made him travel and we had no one to watch him @ night. Its the harderst but most rewarding job I have ever had, he is challenging at times but he is also so fun to be around. He loves to put on a comedy show for everyone and he is sooo friendly. He loves to talk talk talk and run run run, its hard to keep up. He is very smart and loves to learn. When he figures something new out, he asks us if were proud of him. And of course we say, YES!! Hes the only child, so all my attention is given to him. We are hooked to the hip and he calls me, "HIS GIRL." Im sooo lucky and proud to be his mom and I thank GOD for him every day. I LOVE HIM SOOO MUCH:)

hi, my name is Janine and i have 4 sons. a 16yo whom i don't have contact with as his fathers family have "corrupted" him, hoping with time he will develop his own mind. my other 3 sons are Damon who is my Jan 07 baby born on the 16th, Thomas who is 2 born 27th July has Down Syndrome and Aiden born 2nd july this year.
Damon is a bright, inteligent, talkative little boy who drives me absolutely crazy with his attitude and behaviour! he will share any food he may have, but he will not share toys with Thomas and takes toys away from him when he's got them. delibrately mean to him too, pinching biting and pulling him around. on the other side he loves his brothers to death and is always kissing and cuddling them and telling them that he loves them. he's a real Jeckyl and Hyde!
he is toilet trained, but just the last couple of weeks he leaves going to the toilet to the last possible minute, not making it on a couple of occations!
amazing memory, he watched toy story for the first time a couple of weeks ago and keeps quoting various lines from the movie and knows the routes we take to various destinations. knows his numbers, alphabet, shapes and colours.
i love all my boys very much!
