What are some good Birthday Theme Parties?

Someone in my son's class had a "Rock Star" party this year. It was really great. They all danced and had blow up guitars, ect.. They rented a hall in a local school and the kids loved it. This way you can invite cousins and classmates along with friends who do not go to your school. You are not paying per child, it works out cheaper. I will untimately let him pick his theme, but I wanted to give him some ideas. They can dress up in a theme and we can have theme based games and food. I was thinking Super Hero, Pirate, carnival, zoo... What would you think would be easiest and the best!?!?!
