Big bash for our twins!! We survived our first year not only as new parents, but new parents of 2 babies! Even though we're keeping it to close friends/family, it still adds up to alot of people. Sesame Street theme. I'm attempting to bake/decorate 2 Elmo cakes! We'll see how that goes. :)

Nothing too big at all. A small cake, a few presents....NOT!!!!! We're going all out. We did the same thing with my daughter. It's exhausting, but so much fun. :-)

We are doing two small parties because family lives in different areas. We are also asking close family(parents) to give savings bonds, money to college fund etc.. instead of toys. I imagine she will get plenty of toys/books for Christmas anyway so it's not as if she will be in need.

I've always just had family and close friends over for the 1st. I've learned to schedule it right after naptime.

Small party... instead of presents, money for his college fund. Kids don't really remember their first birthdays anyway and throughout their childhood they care more about playing with their friends (at least that's what I remember from my own experience)

We're going with the "less is more" philosophy. My 4 yo daughter's bday parties have been getting bigger and bigger (in terms of the number of people) and I'm really looking forward to doing something simple for my son. Family, a neighbor pal to play with DD, and some great cake. I can't wait!

Simple small party - just cake, ice cream, maybe a little decoration & some presents (not a lot - it's my 3rd boy - we have _a lot_ of toys already!).
His grandma & aunt will be in town to celebrate with us!
I'm thinking of a Baby Einstein theme (at least for the cake).
