How big is your 3 year old?

well my three year old is big! Was born at 10lbs 22 in. And now he is 45 lbs and is almost 4 feet. Now this isn't normal. Each child grows differantly. Some a petite as babies but as they get older they hit growth spurts like crazy. Like me I was 5 foot 6 in 6th grade but now I am only 5 foot 8. Just really depends on genetics and stuff

My son was born in Dec 2007... he is 42.5 inches tall and weighs 50 pounds. He is big for his age. When we go out in public everyone is always asking why he isn't in school... they are amazed when I tell them he is just 3!! His shoe size is 11-12.

My 3 year old slender, but solid as a rock. I can't pick him up anymore because the weight will just throw out my back. Been there done that already! Lol, I love my big boy anyway. Daddy's 6"4 and was his height and build at that age.

My daughter was born July 17, 2008 and has always been really tiny. She is in the lower 5th percentile for height and weight since she only weighs 22 lbs. and is only 34 inches tall. She eats everything and is on a supplement called Resource Breeze to help add extra calories and protein to her diet. We have never been worried about her since I'm only 5' and my husband is only 5'1 so we didn't expect her to be that big. She's always been ahead developmentally for her age (potty trained at 18 months, knows her colors, shapes, alphabet, and can count to 15 (she can actually count up to 15 objects, not just recite her numbers) she speaks in full sentences and can hold a conversation with you, etc) so her pediatrician has never really been worried about her growth. She just has her own curve and they said as long as she stays on her curve and it keeps going up, then she's fine. The only time we should start to worry is if she seems to be stalling or backtracking developmentally. As long as your child's smaller size doesn't affect her development, then she's doing fine :)

My son is bigger than most three year olds. He is over three feet tall, and is in the 96 percentile of his age group. Most people expect him to be able to do more than others his age, but just because he is big doesn't mean he must be able to do the things older children can.

now my daughter is 37 1/2 inches tall and still 29-30 lbs. we have started her drinking 1 pediasure a day just so she gets the good stuff she needs. its not like you can see her ribs or anything but she has become a picky eater and dont like to eat all her food if any of it

My son was born January 27, 2008.. At his 3 year checkup he was 27 lbs, 36". His old pediatrician would always make comments about his size.. he however eats mostly healthy food. We don't have junk food or sugary stuff in the house. I found a new doctor.. a much better less judgmental one and he said he is perfectly proportioned and his diet is spot on. Funny thing is, my son is the EXACT height and weight as his father at that age. I am not worried about it at all. He is healthy, very active.. the only bummer is that he grows out of his pants in length before he will ever fill them out! Now since the diapers went by way of the dinosaur, the jeans really hang on his skinny butt! ;)

My daughter was born Dec. 2007 and at her last appt on 3/23/11 she was 36.8 pounds and 3 ft 2 inches. I think there are many factors to consider before getting too worried. Doctor said my oldest will be about 5'8 (tall like dad) and my youngest will be 5'4 ( just like me♥)
