Hi Everyone-

I am begining to freak out because my son won't stop vomiting when I try to feed him. He started last night around 11 and didn't stop until around 4. He slept through the whole thing (me washing him up and moving him all over the place to get the bed clean). So I thought he was okay this morning but I still only gave him water till 8 hours had passed since he last puked then I tried to feed him some oatmeal and it came back out...ALL OF IT. And then he had diarea (sp?) how did he even have anything to poop? So I am just posting this because I am starting to freak out and hoping for some wise words that will make my son all better. I have a call into the doctor they should be calling me back any time now. By the way other then the puking and pooping he is all happy go lucky...very weird...no fever or anything.

Try to stay calm.  Your main concern is to make sure that he stays hydrated.  Try offering him sips of liquids.  They best thing for him is pedialyte, but if he doesn't like that then gatorade will do. He probably has a stomach bug and it wil pass, but you don't want him to get dehydrated.  Don't let him take big gulps of drink too fast because too much too fast will make him vomit.  If he starts running a temp, then he is more than likely dehydrated and you will need to go to the doctor.  If you feel like something is off, then call the doctor.  I hope this helps.  I am a pediatric nurse.

Well he seems to be getting better but this morning he had it coming out both ends...I thought it was a world record how many times I had to clean out the tub just so I could put him back into it and him do it again.  That happened 3 times and 2 times in the towel (where he was waiting on me to clean the bath tub)...It was crazy but I finally got the poop and puke off of him...Sorry TMI.  But he didn't do it the rest of the day so my fingers are crossed that he won't do it agian tomorrow morning.  Thank you for all the suggestions.

My son is one and is going throught the same thing. He started lst tuesday night and is finally getting over it. You must keep him hydrated. My son would not eat or drink anything. we ended up in the ER because he was severely dehydrated..he had to get an iv for fluids. it was a mess. so keep on him, if he wont drink just give him a med dropper full of pedialyte every hour. Good luck and I hope your baby is better soon. It took about 9 days for it to settle so...keep in contact w your ped.

Hi

To me that sounds like a stomach bug, as the there´s "stuff" coming from both ends, and he is not too bothered otherwise... You have older kids as well? They might have passed something on to him without showing any symptoms themselves. If it is a bug, it might last a few days, just remember to keep giving liquids to him (maybe some really weak soup as well) and hope some of it stays in! Hope your doctor has called you back and put your mind at ease, it is so easy to get VERY worried the the little ones are poorly!!

Signs of bacterial imbalance include: allergies and food sensitivities, difficulty losing weight, craving sugar and carbs; fatigue, poor concentration; frequent constipation or diarrhoea; faulty digestion, reflux, gut disorders; poor sleeping, night sweats; painful joints, stiffness; frequent colds, flus and infection;

Additionally, numerous pollutants in our everyday lives wreak havoc in our bodies. th secret to good health lies in the friendly bacteria in the intestinal tract. Active good bacteria in the gut aid the digestion process by helping break down foods and creating vitamins we can't get from food. Using a good pro-biotic will reduce blood cholesterol, increase mineral assimilation, reduce high blood pressure, eliminate ailments, strengthen the immune system, aid digestion of protein, carbs and fats, produce natural antibiotics, supress cancerous tumours, reduce unhealthy bacteria and fungi, detoxify poisons and hazardos chemicals in body.

What more can I say? For chemical-free kids with a healthy immune system, visit http://jarrahtree.mionegroup.com/en/home

sounds like yr lil one has no healthy gut flora - this is one of the most common reasons for sickness like this! and its made worse by antibiotics. I have given my son tiny tiny doses of In-Liven probiotic that i buy online from http://jarrahtree.mionegroup.com/en/home and he has never been sick. I used to have irritable bowel syndrome but have had no symptoms for 4 years now since i first used In-Liven (and now i only use it once every couple of weeks). I really recommend trying something like this. it helps boost the immune system. also a lot of chemicals in yourhome could be ingested, making the problem worse. there is nothing wrong with dirt and cleaning chemicals are poison, especially to little ones! Also, organic food really helps

This is what I did cause I'm going through the same thing right now. It started Tue my youngest  1yrs old gave it to my oldest 3 yrs who gave it to my husband. It was coming out both ends. Also no fever. My oldest throw up 18 times in one day. I took him into the doctors the same day. And they told me no water (that it was to heavy for their stomach) just pedilight or gatorade but here was the thing only to give him 1tbsp with a dropper every 10minutes for a hr. Then move up to 2tbsp every 15/20min for the rest of the night. After I did that it wasa night an day difference.  Also get the drinks in grape flavor. You never want to go red when they are sick.  I hope he is feeling better. Good luck
