Two year old molars already?

My 19 month old son already has all his teeth. The next set to come are the 2 year old molars I'm told. So OK, I should be good for a while...right? Well lately he has been sticking his finger or fingers in his mouth and chewing, he's also drooling and has been a very fussy sleeper as of late. Waking up several time a night crying out. He'll also get a sudden temperature, that will quickly go away within a few hours. He did get all of his other teeth fairly early, so I'm wondering if these are signs of his 2 year old molars coming in. And I don't see or feel anything back there yet, but it's also very hard to check. Does anyone else think their child is getting 2 year old molars yet? Or is it just me?

My 19 month old son had 16 teeth at 10 months old! I took him to the doctor at 18 months for shots the Dr. looked in his mouth and looked again and there was his 2 year molars!

My son has all his teeth and is working on the 2 yr molars. He was late in getting teeth but once they started coming in, they came in in 2 and 3s. I'm lucky in that my son seems to handle teething well, no fever, not very fussy, but he does drool like mad and chew his fingers. I gave him Tylenol for teething to help him sleep at night (the only time his teeth really seeemed to bother him) and that helped him (and me) to get a good nights sleep.

Ruby, almost 19 months, has been putting her hands in her mouth and drooling like it's going out of fashion too. She also was an early teether and had all of them by not long after 1. She would get a group of them come through almost together. I spoke with the health nurse as I was worried because she seemed ill all of the time - fever, running nose, grizzly beyond imagination, horrible nappies, etc - and she said that they were moving around in the gums. She suggested that it will be likely for them to be through well before 2. So, yes we have had sleepless nights with crying, plenty of paracetamol, difficulty putting any teething gel in without being bitten and at times off her food. This in itself is abnormal for Ruby as she loves her food. Hope this helps.

My son is 19 months also, and he as been working on his 2 year molars for about 2 months now. 2 months ago I noticed increased drooling, and the fingers in the mouth. Last week, one on the lower left had poked through a little. The past couple of days I have had to do tylenol and motrin all day becasue he is putting both hands in his mouth and anything that he can get back there. He has been very cranky. I definitely take a risk sticking my fingers in his mouth. I have mastered getting the oragel back there. I go along his cheek and then scoop back to check his teeth.
