My 14 mth old son has woken up at 12:30 and has wanted to snuggle and not go back into his crib until around 4 AM 2 nights in a row. This has been going on for almost a week now. He does not have a fever...Not sure what to do at this point...Help please!

I just wanted to add that this sleep technique is not appropriate if your baby is teething or sick. In that case, you should get them out of bed and try to do what you can to make them comfortable.

If you know there is nothing wrong with him, you should not get him out of bed when he wakes in the middle of the night. Just go in, assure him that everything is ok, give him his passy if he uses one (or teddy, blankie, whatever he uses as a comforter), cover him up and leave the room. Repeat ever 30 minutes or so (to reassure him that you are still there but it's not time to get up yet) until he goes back to sleep. We started this sleep technique with our son at 4 months old and he as slept through the night (at least 10 hours straight) every night since then. Before I became a stay at home mom, I was a Nanny and I have done lots and lots of research on this subject for my job lol. So I hope this can help. Good Luck, it is always hard to hear your little one crying for you, but if you can be strong it will lead to a much better nights sleep for you and him.

Hey Lisa My 15 month old has been doing this a bit lately too, i think hes teething though. Everyone ive spoken to about it has told me that their Little ones have done this from time to time too so fingers crossed its just a phase.
