Kaitlyn still has not started walking, is this a bit late in anyones experience? Our neighbours daughter is already up and about and she is a month younger.

No worries - they're all so different! As long as she's pulling herself up and perhaps even cruising along the furniture, it's all good.
My daughters all walked by 10-11 months, but my baby boy didn't even CRAWL until 10 months old. I'm sure he'll get to it eventually - then he'll even be climbing on everything!

Enjoy the precious time that you still have her and do not worry about her not walking. I say this because when she does decide to walk, your world will be turned upside down! She will get into things that you never knew possible, fast! Don't rush her, enjoy the time!

My son is turing one Jan. 28th and he still isn't walking. He loves to "cruise" and he loves to walk while we hold his hands. He hasn't even started standing yet. But his cousin was born at the beginning of Dec. 07 and he was walking by October of 08. I think it all depends on the child. I read somewhere that children who are really good crawlers often delaying walking because they can meet their need to get around by crawling. My son is an avid crawler, despite never trying to do so until he actually just did it one day. He has wanted to walk, though, since about 4 months. I'd say your daughter's probably just fine, though.

My son started walking when he was about 7.5 months old but that is really early. I think the average is about 12 months, but even if they don't start until 15 or 16 months it's nothing to worry about. Just use your mother's intuition... If you still feel worried about it then talk to your doctor. But as long as she's meeting all of her other milestones then she's just fine. Oh and I've heard that girls tend to take a bit longer too.

Walking will come, seriously ... once they start, they NEVER STOP MOVING, LOL! I actually liked my non-crawling/walking late daughter!

I'm still trying to get my son to walk. He cruises, but as far as walking on his own he's not yet. Our dr said that it's not an issue unless he's not walking by 18 months! So that was a relief!! But I know how you feel! I am very anxious for him to start walking!

No, it's not late by any means. I have a friend whose baby is 13 months and is just now cruising. All babies cannot be expected to do the same thing at the same time. It's the same as teething, crawling, talking...etc...all in due time. My brother and I both bought our babies the little strollers that they can hold on to and push. It helped both babies get excited about standing and pushing something, which translates to walking for us.

I did not have this issue, but some of my friends are experiencing the samething...you are not alone. Their pediatrician said not to worry yet it will come. Have you tried to lure your daughter into walking between you and your spouce or toward something she likes? My little guy started off walking between my hubby and me for a few weeks before he took off on his own

No, it's not late! This baby is my 4th, not walking yet but did just cruise a bit today. My 2nd daughter didn't CRAWL until 12 mo, and didn't walk until 18 mo! You would never know that now! She learned to ride her bike last summer (she turned 5!) and she's a little daredevil. None of mine were early walkers, but the 2nd one was definitely the latest!

My girlfriends girl is 1 and has only just started crawling and her dr isnt worried at all!! Dont panic anywre up to 18 months is aok!!
