hi my 16th month old goes to bed without a quilt and pillow but he doesnt have his blanket over him as he sleeps with it under him and he moves a lot so i cant see the point in a pillow, i was wondering if anybody lets their 16 mth old have a quilt or pillow or something? how does your toddler sleep in his cot? blanket or quilt?

My daughter (16 months old) does not have a pillow. We cover her up when she goes to bed and then when I go to bed I cover her up again. She rolls around alot and kicks off the blanket. I live in California and it is HOT here in the summer so I put her in short sleeve pj top and pants that way her legs are still covered when she kicks off the blanket and she won't get cold from the A/C or fan.

We have been using both, and she really likes the pillow, taking it out of bed when she gets up to cuddle it in the lounge. She often kicks the duvet off, so I make sure she is dressed warmly as it is getting quite cool now.

It's hot here & winter is only just sneaking in, well, what we have of one. So Aiden has just his winter pj's, socks & vest on as he kicks everythi g else off. he hates a blanket over him & kick it off. I wait till he is asleep but come through later & it's off. he doesn't notice though. he's also quite a warm baby though. i suppose it depends on your temperature there & what your baby likes.

Jazmyn sleeps in a toddler bed with a quilt and pillow. I do still put a grow bag on her though because its getting cold and she doesnt always stay under the quilt. She moved to the toddler bed at 15 months and has totally taken to it. We worried that it was too early to move her but she has been fine.

my almost 16month old has had both a pillow and duvet since his first birthday .. he actually sleeps better with it because he seems warmer (especially in the harsh winter we had ..his rooms cold a lot) and loves being all snuggled up like a big boy.

my son is 16 months and has never had a quilt/blanket over him as he would wake up just to kick it off, he constantly moves round his cot at night, so we gave him a pillow to see if that would keep him in one place, but to his father and mines amusement he just moves it round the cot with him and doesnt wake up at all lol

Joshua sleeps uncovered most of the time. I don't think he likes anything over him, coz when I try cover him, he puts his legs up, then kicks it off. I wait until he's sleeping, then cover him with a blankie, although i'm not sure how long it lasts, because when I see him again, he's uncovered!
