I used the Little noses (non medicated) and put some down her nose then used the bulb syringe.. that seemed to help. also I found my little one slept best in the car seat so I put her in that for a few nights... hope this helps and she gets better soon.

Our little one got a cold at three weeks. Our pediatrician told us to use saline drops and the aspirator to get all the junk out of her nose. She hated it but it worked. According to our ped, colds in infants peak about day 4 and can go on for up to 2 weeks. If you have a bouncy seat putting her to sleep on there helps too as it keeps her head elevated. Be careful though, you can catch this from her. My daughter passed it on to me and now I am dealing with bronchitis...

these are all great ideas. also, try rubbing some vick's on her chest. if you're wrried about irritating her skin, you can put it on the outside of her clothes, instead. good luck! 80)

My son also has a runny nose (3weeks) and my older son had the snots alot. For the baby I found it would help if I raised their mattress/bedding slightly. Like for the crib I would put a phonebook under the head of the mattress, or for the bassinet I added a receiving blanket under the padding. It seems to help them sleep with their heads slightly elevated - but not too much that they slide down! And plenty of fluids! Hope that helps a little bit!

Mine got one at 2 weeks old. Saline drops (Little Noses Saline Drops/Spray) with the bulb syringe, putting them in the bathroom with the shower on for steam, a cold air humidifier in the room and also if you have a bouncy chair (or similar) that they can sleep in instead of a bassinet/crib so they are somewhat upright that will help with the drainage. hi my daughter is 5 weeks now and we also use saline drops in her nose. they do work and usually she ends up sneezing it out!!! hope its getting better.

Hi Allison, my little guy is 13 days old, and has a cold, my dr told us to use saline drops in his nose.Then you can use a bulb that they profide and suck it out, or they can sneeze it out.If has a hard time breathing also, they said you can go into the bathroom, put the shower on, for no more then 15 min, and the steam can help also.

Hi Allison, I would try a homeopathic medication, but only if the cold goes worse.
