Hi Am Kirsty.... I had my little girl on the 8th January... i was in labour for 14 hours... and she was 2 weeks over due... My little girl is growing so fast....

I went up to 12 stone in pregnacy and i dropped down to 9 and half..... But got on the scales and now am 10 anf half lol....

I called my daugther Nafiyah.... I had a little bit complications through pregnancy but pulld through them all.... i ended up being cut and having 10 stitches... and she was pulled out by vontuse.... not sure how you spell it lol.... stayed in over night in hospital and went home the next day.... Meet quite a range of people in the ward... But what made me laugh is that Nafiyah was the biggest in the ward... and she was weighing in at 7lb 7... Nafiyah is quater portagese... She got the most nicest eyes she got ocean blue eyes... and olive skin and dark brown hair.... she is a double of her daddy....

anouth about me lol i would love to hear about everyone elses stories and what they thought of labour lol.... to be honest i would love to go through that again just for the andelin rush which i got when they first placed her on me....

but i was also worried about that the matter of fact that i carryed strep b....which means i carry menagetis and secipcema cant really spell that either lol.... which meant that i could pass it on to Nafiyah at birth... so what they did he gave me a intervenous drip in my hand to feed her antibotics to prevent this.... but thankfully she was healthy and she didnt catch anything .... so please share your storie... i know mine goes on to ... but i love reading about people experences because everyone is different ... so please post your stories xxx

Well I spent the first 6 months getting sick every day I thought it would never go away and then it did.  I also had a time when my baby was laying on scar tissue from a previous surgery and was in so much pain, but that too went away.  When I was 37 weeks I started having pre eclampsia and could no longer work.  I was almost 38 weeks and the dr. induced me for some reason my babies heart beat was dropping and he was measuring only 5 pounds.  I was in labor for about 12 hours and the baby just couldn't tolerate it.  Every time I had a contraction his heart rate dropped into the 60's.  It was so scary, because the contractions were coming so fast that his heart rate wasn't coming back up.  I had an emergency c-section and my baby came out healthy.  He was only 5 pounds 5 ounces, but he was fully developed and healthy in every way.  He had his cord wrapped around his neck twice and that is why his heart rate dropped every time I had a contraction.  I was so scared at the end, but once he was here it was worth it.  Now I have Josiah and he is the greatest.

Hi Kirsty

Crikey you had a right time of it bless ya!  At least you and Nafiyah came out if it ok though.  Her name is very unusual but sweet.

I had SPD in my pregnancy....its a pelvid disorder where the weight of the baby growing can cause tremendous amount of pain and can crush the pelvis....in extreme cases some women end up in a wheelchair or walking with a walking stick.

I luckily didnt have it that bad, but i couldnt walk far without pain from 6 and a half months pregnant.  I had physio which didnt really help.  For the whole of December and up until Jacob was born on the 7th Jan, i was practically housebound.

When he was born, it was a huuuuuuge weight gone! lol!  I went into hospital at 11am and he was born at 2.01pm weighing 8lb 3oz.  I still suffer from the pains but not as bad....i just have to manage to cope with them the best way i can....they will ease but not go away permanently.

But it was certainly worth it - Jacob is an absolute dream!
