My baby boy is 7 1/2 months old and he is constantly shaking hard right after falling asleep in the morning or noon.He is shaking rapidly like he is very cold but its so hot in our house during the day.He start the shaking event about 2 months ago and they said it well just go away.Just wondering if its normal and if other babies are doing the same ????

My daughter has been having the episodes (thats what we call them) where she tenses all of her muscles and locks her legs together. Sometimes they would last from 15-45 mins. And that happens between 3-6 times a day. She gets all kinds of sweaty and sometimes her face gets red. I've taken her to a neurologist with my video camera of her doing one. he said its just her way of soothing herself. Kind of like a child that rocks themselves. And the doc said she would most likely grow out of it by the age of 4. But I would most def. get it checked out by your primary care doc then get a referral for the neurologist. Definetly keep a log of everything going on for you dr, he is more likely to listen to your concerns if you can show him everything, if it still feels like your concerns are being brushed, I would consider a second opinion

My baby used to startle and wake up frequently, but that was a few months back. She doesn't do this anymore. I would maybe seek a second opinion. Is it seizure like? My four year old had a seizure after his MMR vaccine at 15 months. He saw a neurologist for a year. Maybe you should see a neurologist just to make sure. Good luck!

i am having a simular problem with my son uring the night, if you can record it and show it to the doctor and let him know how long it lasts, he sould be able to help you out, that is what my doctor told me to do

I am not a dr, but I would ask his dr about it because I haven't seent that happen before.
