hi! our little girl was born on the 31st of January so is 13 months old now. she is very tall for her age and for a little while now has been trying to lift her leg onto her cot side wall to climb out....and our friends have a 2 year old that AManda is good friends with him and he has a toddler bed (one of the 'kits' that came with a metal and plastic toddler bed a set of table and chairs and a toy box...) and AManda knows how to climb on and off his bed and recently has started lying down in his bed and pretending to go to sleep or have cuddles.
anyway...my question :)
my partner (Amanda's daddy) and I are trying to decide if Amanda can stay in her cot for much longer or to get her a toddler bed like Jonathan (her little friend) or to use an old single bed we have in storage under the house with a new mattress--or buy a new single bed....
and another thing is we know that her cot can fit in her room and therefore so can a toddler bed....but not 100% that a single bed would easily fit (still giving her enough room to play and whatnot during the day...)
does anyone have any advice on which way to go? and if so any advice on how to introduce Amanda to having a 'big girl' bed?
thanks in advance :)
