My daughter has learned how to sit only leaning fwd and looking side to side, but she can't sit fully up yet. I think it's sooo cute!

My Lilly bug is a full time sitter now. She can't stand it when I put the boppy behind her to support her, because it still freaks me out, so she skoots forward so she's not touching it. She's in crawl position now and rocks back and forth a lot. I wouldn't be surprised if she was crawling by the end of the month!

Our little one's only just started sitting on his own also. Two weeks ago I put him to sit on his play mat and leant to get his toy. I suddenly realised he was't leaning against my hand for that split second, and it was because he sat forward to play with the frame on the mat. I scared me at first because I thought he was about to fall on his side. I felt so proud and he stayed there on his own for a minute or so, but long enough for me to quickly grab my camera to take 2 pics. Then when his dad came home, we showed him again and hubby caught it on camera. Since then he's pulling himself up, leaning back and forth in his recliner chair when he wants, and he's sitting up for longer, he steady's himself if he thinks he'll fall sideways and holds onto something. Either that or he'll put his hand down to stop himself falling. We've been trying it on the bed as well so he can learn how to keep himself balanced. He really loves it, and he's started bouncing on the bed as of this morning, which he loves because you can see the suprise on his face when he's able to stop himself wobbling. It's as though he didn't think he could do it, or he bursts into fits of laughter when he falls sideways and bounces off the bed or pillows...it was such a joy to watch this morning so had to get it on camcorder.

My little girl was trying to sit up at 5 months she would sit up then fall over now she is 6 months old and sitting up pretty good by herself but shes belly crawling, turning over and getting up on all fours to try to crawl and pulling herself up. i'm like wooo slow down one thing at a time dont grow up to fast lol. Once she got control of her head i began to sit her up on my lap with her resting up against me and from then on she has tried on her own.

My little Myla born January 18th, can get up off the floor on all fours, belly crawl, and is starting to try and pull her self up on things. But do you think she can sit up by her self yet? Nope not my baby. :p Her and two and a half year old brother was crawling on all fours before he sat up as well.

That's wonderful. Aaron's 5 months and in the past week and a half he's gone from, pulling himself up when sitting against our tummies, to pulling himself up when lying down on the sofa or in his chair, then sitting up on his own to crawling a little. It's been amazing and every day I'm texting hubby or taking pics or footage on the cam-corder with his progress. I don't want him to miss a thing.

Your lil one's so cute...have fun!

my daughter will be 6 months on the 9th but she has been fully sitting up by herself for about 2 1/2 weeks! I think what really got her to sit up and control those muscles was the bumbo! It really helped...She is also cutting 2 teeth at the same time lol it's amazing how fast they grow up!

My son will be 6 months on the 20th. He just 'mastered' sitting up by himself the past week. I joke that it's his buddha belly that keeps him still. hahaha!

My son sits by himself for a few seconds...but mostly like a lot of others I sit him in his boppy. He grabs his toes and anything else he can reach....which is usually when he falls down.

My son does the same. He is getting better and can sit for longer peirods, but still starts to fall to one side. He sits and plays with this music toy we got him. If I can figure out how I'll post a picture.

My little girl can sit in the boppy but she is never happy sitting still so she stays for a few minutes and then leans forward so she can get moving again!

My little guy has been sitting by himself for a couple weeks now. I put the boppy pillow around him, but he rarely uses it! He's a chucky guy and I think that his big chubby thighs help him balance! :)

ollie will be 5months on the 28th. he's a pretty strong little lad. not sitting up fully with out support ./. but the only support he needs is to hold my fingers or sitting between my knees .. so he's getting there .. he loves pulling himself up and stuff.
