HELP... I cannot get my son to stay asleep all night, he gets up usually 2 times. It seems like every 4hrs right on the dot... i have tried napping less, eating earlier, lavender, warm blanket, i have a set routine with bathtime before bed but keeping him asleep is the problem not actually getting him to go to bed..... Please Help Me...

Is there something waking him up? We live near train tracks and the trains wake my daughter up all the time. Nothing I can do about it but put her back out. Sometimes she sleeps through, sometimes not. Other than that... you will have to let him cry it out. Crying is a very tiring activity and he will eventually put himself back out. It will take a few nights, but when he realizes you won't be coming for him then he will learn how to put himself back to sleep.

Rachel, my daughter has the same problem. She gets up once after going to sleep. Usually four hours after going to bed. Some nights its twice a night. I have tried all the same things, and I think it's that she is incapable of putting herself back to sleep. Either that or my kid is sleep walking, because she never cries she just walks into our room and stands by my bed until I wake up. It scares the crap out of me. We have an appointment with her Dr today because this all started about a month ago. I am kinda at the end of my rope. Did you figure anything out to get your child to sleep through the night?

You have to let him cry till he falls back asleep. I know it is hard to listen to but you have to do it. It's the only way you will get him to stop.
