How do we transition from using bottles to milk in a sippy cup?

We are attempting to transition from bottles to using a sippy cup --- but Keira will not have it. She will take water fine from any type of sippy cup, and she's been pretty good with them for several months now. But she screams and cries if you offer her formula or milk in a sippy cup - she will only take it in a bottle . . . no matter how hungry she is it seems. I did try our Nuby sippy cup which has a more bottle like spout to it, and she took a little bit ouf of it, but then pushed it away and cried until she got the milk in her bottle. I am not sure what to do to help transition her off of using the bottle. I am afraid to only offer her the sippy cup as then she probably won't get enough liquids (besides being one unhappy girl), but on the other hand we don't want to keep "giving in" and giving her the bottle like she wants . . . What to do!

i agree with jane just try and only give her the bottle at night.
my little boy is the same and he refuses to drink milk out of cup too so we've got one of those nuby type spout bottles that you have. he wasn't so keen at first .. he'd drink an oz then refuse so i'd pour milk back into his bottle .. but i kept introducing it every morning and he's eventually got used to it and drinks all his milk from it.
therefore my suggestion would be to put a couple of oz or so in the new cup and try and see if she'll drink that then give the bottle (so say 2oz in cup 4 in bottle) .. try increase the amount of milk in the cup till shes drinking all of her milk out of it .. just a suggestion but i hope it might help.

try the bottle only at night or before nap time away from the table. but she needs to get used to the cup. she won't go without. just stick w/the cup during the day at the table and she'll adapt in a few days. stick w/it.
