My little girl is almost 13 months and she weighs 19lbs 8 oz. She just started walking about a week and a 1/2 ago. How old is your little one?

Jacoby turned 1 on Jan 6th..he weighed 8lbs 4oz at birth....He's been walkin since he was 10months old...he learned from his big sis....At his 1year check up he weighed 20lbs...and was 28 1/4in long...he's short and small for his age range-he's in the 10% tile for his weight, his dr said he should have tripled his weight by now.....so we are to give him less formula and start givin him more food and that....but with him bein lactose intolerant for now, we have to watch and read everythin we feed him.....but he's so active that yea he's gonna be a little on the small side....he was cruisin along furniture at 5months.....

My little guy just turned one on January 12th. he is 33inches and weighs 23 pounds..and has for about 2-3 months. he is skinny but super tall!
Tucker started crawling at about 5 months and walking at 8 months. now he is running and doing stuff like a little toddler!!

My daughter will be one in two weeks and she started crawling at 5 months and took her first step at 8 months and now is running... She weighs about 22 pounds...

My little man Elijah will be one on the 23rd and is 20 lbs and already 31 inches! Nevis taking about six or seven steps on his own before falling and then crawling super fast to where he was going :-) it's good to know mines not that skinny, but he is pretty tall- even when we took him to the doc on Friday cuz he was sick the nurses thought he was 18 months! I'm new to the group and glad I found it! Thanks!

Hi,
My little one just turned 1 on the 7th he's 23lbs and 2oz..he hasn't gained much is the past 2 1/2 months...he started to crawl at 5 months and took he's first step @ 9..he's now walking and doesn't stay still for a second..i wouldn't worrie too much, i've heard that the average one yr old weighs about 20lbs..hope all is well take care

my little girl is tiny for a one year old. she only weighs 15lbs 7 oz. The dr is going to do extra blood work to make sure everything is ok. She drinks all her bottles and is pretty good with food!!! I am hoping she is just a very petite little girl who is very active. She started crawling at 7 months and was walking at 10 months. she cruises now and never wants to sit still!!!

My little guy turns 1 on January 21st and he weighs 21 lbs. He weighed 6 lbs 8 oz. when he was born. He started crawling at 9 months and is now cruising the furniture, and toys, and anything else he can get ahold of! LOL... He's starting to walk with a push toy, until he gets to the hardwood floors then he wipes out!

I read an artical in "American Baby" that only 50 to 60% of babies are walking by the first birthday. That it is common for some to walk between 12 to 18 months. My little girl walked before her first birthday and my son will be 1 on Jan. 13th. He is doing better than he was. He will now walk half way across a room but he still falls down. As of Friday he is weighing 28lbs 6 oz......30 3/4 in tall. All babies will walk when they are ready!

My little girl is also small...she's about 15.5 lbs. and will be 1 on Jan 21st! She was 6lbs even at birth. I was concerned about her weight and lack of gain since about her 4-month apt, but my doctor keeps telling me she's fine. We'll see at the 1-yr check-up!
She actually just started pulling herself up on everything and cruising and walking behind things 2 days ago! She was a late crawler too (actually, still doesn't really crawl, just boom-scoots around!), not starting until about 10 months.

hi my son is also having less weight thats what doctor says,but actually my son was born 8weeks early,in his early monthes he use to gain fast but after he started crawling,his weight gaining got slowed down,sometimes i m really worried abt him as he was born pre-term

My son was 7lbs.12oz when born and is now about 24.5 lbs.He is shorter than most other babies his age, but i'm not discouraged because i'm very short and dad is average height.His weight shows more because of being short.

Our boy is 25 lbs now at1 year of age. He was only 5lbs 14.9 oz at birth so I guess you could say he's made up for himself!

My little girl, Carmen is a biggie! lol she weighed 24.1 lbs and wass 31 inches long at her one yr check up! (she doesnt turn 1 till friday, but we wanted to beat the end of the year) but anyway, she started scooting and army crawling around 5 months, belly off floor around 6 months and is walking on her own for about a week now!!!

My daughter,Rylee will turn 1 on the 17th. She weighs 18 lbs. even, and she's stayed at that same weight since 9 months. She started crawling around 6 months, she's been walking along the furniture for about 4 months! But she won't walk on her own yet, she'll stand up, but she won't take a single step! Rylee also has a 2 1/2 year old sister, Delaney. Delaney will be 3 in June and she only weighs 26 lbs! There is nothing wrong with her, she eats everything,even vegetables most kids her age would refuse! But she just isn't a big child, Rylee isn't big either. I read some other mother posts and their children seem to be around the same weight! Your son must be a little guy!

My little guy crawled about the same time and is almost walking by himself too. I was told by our pediatrician that there is a growth gap or growth stunt from 6-12 months. How is his appetite? Does his temp rise in the late afternoons? Is he irritable in his sleep?

My little girl turned a year old on the fifth of January, (Yesterday :)) She is about 22 lbs and 33 inches long. She started crawling at about 9 months. She began standing, pulling up and walking around things at about 10 months. She can take a few steps now, but then she sits down. She also walks around with a little doll stroller.

my little boy was born jan 13 and he is 20 1/2 lbs now. He started walking when he was 9 months old. His doctors say he is alittle underweight but only because he's a little tall for his age i suppose :)

My little girl will be 1 on 19th January, she was born 11lb (5kg) and now weighs 20lb (8kg), she is not walking or even crawling yet, she sits on her own and rolls like you wouldn't believe, she has just started this commando crawl thing but she can hold her weight, when standing, when you help her. She loves her Jolly Jumper and is quite strong in her legs, I think she may walk without crawling.

My son was 3 lbs 1 oz at birth, he was 10 weeks early. He is now 16 lbs 4 oz, he will be one on the 23rd. He still wears 6 - 9 months clothes. He started crawling backwards in October, at the end of November figured out how to crawl forward and in December he started to stand and walk around in his crib.

Mason turned one year today, and is close to 30 pounds!! But his daddy is a big guy too. He started crawling about 9 months and has just started pulling himself up to a standing position. But he cannot support himself yet or walk. So every baby grows and develops differently. I wouldn't be worried about his weight. As long as he has an appetite and not losing weight, I'm sure he'll be fine :)

my guy is 24lbs and a porker lol i love it! Rolled from belly to back at 7 weeks. He said "dada" at 5 1/2 months and now says mama, yeah, good, cookie, and what that (more sounds like watdat)
he is walking around furniture...or more running around it...and is trying very hard to let go...shouldnt be long now. He's 11 months

my son is 11 months old and 26lb 8oz. he has always been big tho. he started crawling at 8 months and just took his first steps the other day. he also picks out colours if i ask him to pick the blue one or the green one etc. he only says one word tho, uh oh.

My little one weighs 16 lbs the funny thing is she was 10lbs at birth!!!!!! So don't worry as long as they are eating and happy !!!!

Hi just reading all your baby's weight's my buba bless him is 32 pounds and also is in his 3 year old brother's clothes well certain items, always felt like he was to big as kept beng told by a number of young doctors that he is over weight however talking to some older doctors they think he is compleatly normal and tell me i should not listen to anyone else as all though he is on he 95th centile he does not look fat, just very tall and broad, He was born 9lb 8oz on the 9th of jan so has alway's been on the 95th centile, Any way just like to say i was comfeted to read that my baby is not the only one bigger than most.
He has been crawling for about 5 months now or should i say commando crawling on arm's lol and has just taken his first few step's so waiting to see how long before he takes more. x

My son will be one on the 5 of Jan. and he weighs about 21 pounds. He was 7lbs 7 oz. at birth....he cruises the furniture and crawls sometimes but he gets around by mostly commando crawling (on his belly) and he is so fast!! I am not in a hurry for him to grow up....I miss my newborn, and I am really sad that he is turning one. The time went by too quickly!!! Enjoy your little ones while they are still small....

My son is almost 12 months (21 Jan)
at 10 & half months he weighed 9.3 kg's
He started crawling only recently, but he was cruising along the furniture since about 7 n& half months.
They pick up weight much slower at this age because they are so active

Hi - My little girl will be 1 on 10th Jan and she was 25lb 2oz about 2 weeks ago. She was 6lb 13oz when she was born 3 weeks early. Having said that, she has only put on around 1lb 7oz over the last 3 months. She's my fourth baby and all of mine have been really quick gainers, real chubby bubbys but once they hit 1 year - they always slow down. My 3rd child was 29lb at her first birthday, and the health visitor was ver concerne about her weight, especially as she didn't eat hardly anything, all fresh veg and fuit but that was all. she was sent hospital for testing and was fine - 99th centile fr weight and length, just a big girl. She is now 4 and a half and has only gained just over 14lb since then, they do slow down massively and .....none of my children have crawled, in no way, shape or form. From sitting, to pulling up, to cruising, to walking.

Jonathan was born on the 9th, and he was 7lbs 4oz at 37 weeks. He's a hefty 25.5 lbs now!!!!! His older sister (two and a half) only weighs one more pound...can I tell you that my back is killing me!!! LOL...he's a big boy...and it doesn't keep him from running around the house either! He's really tall as well, always has been..he was just shy of 22in when he was born...I haven't measured him lately, but he does wear 24mo or 2T clothes, so that's a little point of reference.

My Daughter will be 1 on the 23rd of this month. She weighs 12 lbs.9 oz. She was 6 lbs 7 ounces at birth. She started crawling around 5 months and can walk but refuses. She will do it if she doesn't realize what she's doing. She cruises between all the furniture and stools. She's my 6th and they have all been from %10 - not even on the chart most of their lives for weight. Every child is different.

Shge also walks and 'talks'. when she walks she'll push a walker or chair around the house for balanceand ansrews uer/no ?'s.....points to what she wants, says momy,dada,buhbuh(brother), kitty-kitty ect!! as long as your doc isnt concerned and he seems fine dont worry :). im a very petite person and so is my husband so we expected our daughter to be small. the doc has prescribed vitamin drops for her i just never gave them to her cuz i saw no medical indication as to why.

My LO Isabella was 7.3lbs at full term birth. She will be 1 on the 7th and only weighs 19lbs. She is in the low percentile for her weight but mid for her height. She babbles non stop and it wall walking, takes a few steps and the first time it was after our dog... She took about 3 steps then face planted... didn't cry though! We don't make a big deal, then it's not a big deal when she falls down. I think as long as your kid is happy and dr's haven't said to worry then don't. Kids come in all shapes and sizes. We are the ones that seem to worry to much about it... Isabella stopped gaining weight around the time she started at a daycare. Got sick her first day there and we are fighting ear infections (with tubes already) ever since. But doc's not worried and she is a happy girl so mom tries not to worry!

My son Sean started to walk the beginning of december and he still only weighs 18lbs or so. He also crawled early too, he's a little guy too has only just started to grow out of the 6 months size clothes.
