Walk walk walk. Soothes baby and gets you out of the house. No strain or time constraints. If you are really depressed or emotional check out info on Post Partum. Just make sure, cause there's help for that.

I think the key to success and anything is balance, or "happy medium"
Don't go nuts on exercising or you'll only do it once and then give up.
Don't starve yourself or you'll eventually cave and eat a pint of ice cream.

Do eat what you want - just remember portion control! and remember to eat healthy, balanced meals as often as you can. You can still have desert.
Do take baby for a walk if it's nice out - You don't have to run for miles though.

I hope this helps.

I lost most of my baby weight this way (I still have a little tummy though).
I am planning on doing some indoor bouldering (rock climbing) with friends to really tone up. Activities like this can be cheap! (10$ including climbing shoe rental for an evening of climbing)

Dont worry about sorting out a "workout schedule" or "diet" as soon as you say those words your fighting a losing battle! just try changing little things such as snacks. keep lots of fruit stocked up in the fridge to pick at when your at home. If your busy during the day try to do as much walking as possible. walk upstairs instead of taking lifts etc andif you drive try parking further away so you walk more. I personally dont drive which means i walk everywhere. I put on 3 1/2 stone during pregnancy and lost it all by the time my son was 5 months, not intentionally, thought id NEVER lose it. i suppose it was down to walking loads and keeping up with a new baby! Also would like to sy try not to let it get you down too much just think how much you'll lose when your baby starts walking!!! you'll be running around all the time and you wont even realise your excersising!!! Hope all goes well x

I never breastfed at all and gained abput 30lbs with my daughter and with a healthy balanced diet and simple exercise was able to loose it all before she was a month old.. Its all about being positive about it.. My ex was over 200lbs n with his own motivation n wanting to loose he is now down to 170 something.. He also spends every day at the gym.. But honestly u need to be self motivated i believe thats the only way u can actualy be successfull.. even with a busy schedule eat a balanced diet or even ask ur doctor about simple things u can do to help with ur schedule.. A friend of mine found carring your baby on the front of you helps loose the weight to... Hope some of this helps.. Just have faith in your self hun.. honestly i get being upset about it but i know alot of people that the more upset u get the harder they found to loose the weight.. Give ur body time everyone is different

I gained 85lbs with Zita... I know yikes! and she was only 6.9lbs at birth. I was very very thin to begin with, and always watched my weight. I used Alli before I got pregnant and went right back on it after I stopped breast feeding (for similar reasons) It works by blocking a good portion of the fat you eat... however if you eat foods high in fat, as you can imagine it comes right back out... Its the only FDA approved pill on the market. I only have 15lbs left to go. It is quite expensive, but I buy it a wholesale club (BJ's, Sam's, etc.) and you get more pills for the money! Good Luck!

Its taking me a long time too & then I realized there's something WRONG. When I went to the doctor he said I have PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome) which makes losing weight harder b/c you're basically insulin resistant & your body stores the excess glucose as fat. That being said, the best cure for PCOS is losing weight (catch 22)....PCOS is very very common and can be diagnosed by most physicians. If you want medication they'll probably give you METFORMIN (which they use to treat diabetics too). anyways, if you're giving it 120% and not seeing results you may have PCOS too.....

We have the Wii Fit too but I get annoyed with the strength & yoga trainer b/c at the end of each you have select the next one. Is there a better workout for the Wii so its a smooth transition from one workout to the next??

Have you heard of Isagenix? It is a nutrtional cleansing line that can help cleanse out the toxins in your body and flood it with all organic nutrients and minerals.

check it out:

http://twong.isagenix.com

I love the chocolate Isalean shakes. It is great because I am still nursing and don't have much time to cook or put together a meal. So the shakes are a great meal full of all nutrients and vitamins.

Isagenix also has a 9 day and 30 day mild cleanse. I have about 10 friends who have personally done the cleanse and have lost an average of 9 pounds. You can NOT do the cleanse if you are nursing or pregnant as toxins might pass through the placenta or breast milk. But it it safe to use all the other products of isagenix.

I have been only using the shakes and vitamins and have lost all the pregnancy weight with out having to work out at a gym. I used the shakes through out my pregnancy because my doctor said it was a really good choice since I couldn't keep anything else down the first trimester. I still use the shakes and my daughter is now 5 months and I am still nursing.

If you have any questions let me know.

I am also going out for a walk when the weather is nice and have been doing the wii fit but not a regular basis. In the last month, we really changed the way we eat, less bread and more vegetables with our meals or for snacks.

Just in the last month I have started to lose between 1.5 to 2 pounds per week! It doesn't seems much at first but when you figure I can maybe loose 6 to 8 pounds per month, that's pretty fast. My goal is to lose 25 to 30 pounds and I have already lost 7 with minimal activity. We do have one cheat night per week, where we eat junk food and we always look forward to that day. It sure helps if your husband supports you in doing it, mine does and he also lost some weight.

I failed at breastfeeding also... I'm technically 27 lbs overweight so I just bought the wii fit and the wii active. I know, it's not a gym membership, but I can't afford that and yes, walking is free, but I live in a not so great neighborhood. The wii fit can take a lot of time so it might not be ideal. The wii active on the other hand works all your major muscles including ones I didn't know I had! Lol. And the best part is, it only takes 20 minutes or you can workout for up to 40 in one workout. It has a journal to track your eating habits and it's fun! It had me running for the first two minutes, and then some squats, and don't forget the back and shoulders! And the BEST part, I have my daughter playing right by me in her bouncer and she loves to watch me!

I have had to make time and yes, I was so tired! But, I decided to just do it and I feel more energized! Also, I ask my husband to take over for a little while. I remind him it's for his own benefit. :)

i'm having an issue too with the sudden wt gain. i breast fed unsuccessfully until 11 weeks, my milk production just wouldnt get there, so i was having to supplement with formula because he was suffering failure to thrive, also my stupid OB told me in the hospital i want to give you the Depo shot because it will help with your breastfeeding, every lactation counselor i have talked to said that has contributed to my milk production going down. also, in the past month we have moved across the country, and i now have a vehicle at my disposal versus i was walking and carrying him 5 miles a day to and from bus stops and running our errands. i also cant get him to sleep through the night so i'm constantly playing catch up with my already over extended body and schedule... i didnt get paid for maternity leave (thankfully i work at home but still...) so i've had to be back at work since he came home from the hospital at nearly 2 wks old... also i'm doing it on my own, no SO to help me. and since i can barely get my day 2 day stuff down, how can i find time to work out?? let alone counteract the stupid shot?? I feel the getting depressed a bit... in the last month ive gained that 20ish lbs due to all of the above changes... /cry

I'm depressed too! You're not the only one! I have a hectic schedule and can't seem to get on a work out schedule. Then, when I get home, I'm pooped! I don't get to eat dinner because I am so tired.

Just like every baby, every woman is different and my doctor says, "It took you 9 months to make her, it might take you 9 months to lose the weight." Some of my friends are very lucky, and their weight will be gone the next month.

We can't overstress ourselves too much, just take it day by day. No matter what, your baby, your husband/bf/baby daddy, will still love you. Just like when you were big and preggers!
