Hi Kayla, My daughter Kiara tried full cream milk in a sippa cup with her dinner at around 10 months. I warm it for her and she loves it. I use the Heinz sippa cup, you can upgrade once they get older. Kiara will be 1 on the 18th Jan. She only has 200ml with her dinner and the rest are formula feeds. She has responded well. Good luck

my daughter teresa is 11 months and has been drinking watered down whole milk for about a month. i just put half watwer and half whole milk into her bottle. she hasnt had any problems with constipation or anything like that, although she still gets one bottle of formula a day too. most people recommend that your child has whole milk once they are one anyway, so if you start off the way i did, then their little tummies can start to get used to the milk to prepare for when they totally get off the form ula.

my daughter will be one on the fourth of january, ive started her on cows milk, she has one cows milk in a sippy cup and a formula bottle at night in a bottle, it all depends on your babies appitite, if they are eating well and interested in cows milk their ready, i havent heard about evaporated milk but it does make sence.

Well my daughters pediatrician said to start giving my daughter 2%milk adding 1 ounce a week at the age on 10 months assuming she drinks 8 ounces. But if your child get a mix of breastmilk/ 4oz. formula like my daughter i just started her on milk, so far so good. So that by the time she turns 12months old shell be on strictly milk.

My daughter will be 11 months in a week and I just now started her on whole milk. I started by mixing it with the formula but that only lasted a couple days. She's taken well to it and the only change in her digestive system was a couple of really loose stools at first.

My son is 11 months, but he has been on 2% milk since he was 9 months. The milk that he was on was very expensive so I had to switch him. It did not do anything to his stomach, just made him poop a lot more and it was kind of hard. My grandmother is old school so she told me to pust some Karo Syrup in the milk and it helped loosen him right up.

My littl guy will be 1 on Jan 1st, has anyone who started their baby on whole milk before their 1st birthday, had any trouble with their digestive system? That's the one thing I worry about. I didn't want to start my little one on whole milk till after he turned one for this reason. Any suggestions?

I've started my daughter on a whole milk transition. She turns one on the 16th of jan. Right now I have 2/5 whole milk 3/5 formula, and plan on continuing a gradual transition. But as for a sippy cup, she has the ones that have the straw coming out, but these ones have a valve in the straw so too much doesn't come out at once, and it doesn't spill when she throws it off her high chair. When I first tried the regular sippy cups before it was too hard for her to suck out of the things with the spill proof stuff on it, but the ones with the straw worked perfectly for her. But if I got the other sippy cups out now she'd probably be able to use those fine.

I started my 11 month old on Whole Milk two weeks ago....I just gave it to him no mixing and he is doing fine...he actually prefers it! He has been taking a sippy cup since 7 months so I have tried a alot....gerber makes a good one I'm not sure the name of it but it is a 6 oz. blue and red sippy with handles and a soft spout...you can't miss it....Nubies are nice but the drinking spout caves in when he sucks on it! Good Luck!

I started Elsie on whole cows milk when she was about 9 months old, just on her cereal, she still has aptamil as her night time bottle. she was fine with the change. mabe just try it and see! The Tommy Tippee beaker is good, encourages them to hold it too.

I started givin my son 2% milk mixed wit his formula 2 wks ago and he seemed 2 really like it but he started 2 get a rash so I stopped givin it 2 him I don't know if it was bcuz he's not ready 4 cows milk yet or if he's allergic or if its cause it was 2 % and not whole milk. By the way he's never had 2 drink soy formula or anything like that. My doc told me not till he turn 1 also but my mom said it was fine and me and my bro both started on cows milk be4. 1 yr and we were fine. I'm thinkin about jus waitin till a wk be4 his bday now 2 start givin him whole milk jus by itself and see how that works. Any different suggestions?

I started my daughter on whole milk at 11 months. I didn't mix formula with it at all, I just gave it to her. She is doing great! We are still working in the sippy cup, I had to try several kinds before I found one that she liked. We use the Nuby, it has a soft top and is still able to suck it like the bottle.

My daughter turns one on jan 29th and i talked to her doctor about weening her and she said not to give her milk until she is one, but other doctor may have different policies. I wouldn't think it would hurt them to start weening at ll months. I would go with what you think it best for your child cuz every child is different and mommy knows best.

I was asking myself this same question. Elijah never latched but I pumped breast milk for him. Several weeks ago I started him on half formula and half breast milk. I then went to half toddler formula and half infant formula and stopped pumping all together last week. I was wondering too if I could start giving him regular cows milk. I've heard that evaporated milk mixed with water is easier for babies to digest. Has anyone else heard or tried that? Elijah will be 1 year on the 25th of January, by the way.

I have started my little one on milk. Its been a couple of weeks now and I mixed half formula and half milk. At first his stool was a little soft but he is getting used to it now and I have completely switched him just a couple of days ago. He will be 1 on the 5th of Jan.

That's my plan. I plan on starting to mix my breast milk with whole milk starting on 1/1 (he'll be a year on 1/30). I plan on starting the first week with 1/4 whole milk, 3/4 breast milk. Week two go 1/2 and week 3, 3/4 whole milk and 1/4 breast milk. I also want to start doing it out of a sippy cup. I give my LO a sippy cup with water in it and he's taking to it well, but I"m hoping he does well with the milk in it too. If anyone has a better plan, please let me know. I'm a first time mom and just going with my gut on this one. If there's a better way, I'm always up for suggestions!
