Hiya ladies

I was just wondering if you guys are planning your baby's party yet?

I'm not sure what to do, have a theme or not. And I did want it to be a small tea party from 12-2pm, but might be a little bigger than originally thought. So might have to do it in two sessions. His friends and cousins with grand parents and god parents. Then after the party, the rest of the family can come over if they'd like otherwise it'll get a lil crazy. His party guests will get invites, but open invite to others, and only catering for his party, and some extras for whatever guests come after, because we're not going overboard. I'm thinking £50-100 max for everything.

What do you think, and what are you plans?

My son's bday is on the 31st, we are having it on the 6th of Feb. We are having a baby boy's 1st birthday. Got the deco's and stuff from a party magazine, really cute with cupcakes and the #1 on everything. I have 2 older boys and we always do a BBQ lunch for the 1st and 2nd bday party. We go real simple with hot dogs and hamburgers. I also am getting a jumper for the older kids. We have a lot of people but I really keep on eye on the birthday boy so that he does not get over stimulated. I make sure the party is set between his morning and afternoon naps. I am also not afraid to take him into his room and put him to bed if he get too tired. I let him set the pace of the day and most people understand.

my son's party will be this upcoming saturday and we're inviting close friends and family, a few baby cousins, and friends with babies around his ageso maybe 15-20 ppl. we're just gonna do baby's 1st bday, a Diego themed cake, and either hamburgers, pizza or small BBQ food, nothing too extravagant and pocket friendly.

My daughter is having her first birthday on the 31st and we are doing cupcakes and pink and purple princess theme since shes my princess. I hope to keep it small, about 15 people and do some easy food like hamburgers or pizza. I hope it all goes well happy birthday to all the little ones!

Thanks for the reply.

Instead of getting pain decroation we bought a typlical boy theme that has trucks and aeroplanes on it, a bit like the toys he has already. And they'll know it's something different to their everyday routine, even if they don't understand why.

He's got banners, garlands, and balloons saying 1st birthday party.

Hope you all have a great time.

We are keeping it simple. The theme is "baby's first birthday." I don't quite understand the whole theme thing when the baby isn't even old enough to really comprehend that they are even having a birthday. - just my opinion of course.

We are inviting four other families, keeping it short (a couple hours) and just doing cake and snacks.
