Potty Training - How soon is too soon to introduce a potty?

My daughter is 16 months old. I don't intend to really try to start actual potty training yet... I am thinking it may be way too soon. But I was thinking of buying one and introducing it to her. Maybe put her on it before she gets into the tub to get her used to it...?? Is it too soon for this?

My son just turned 16 months today and he has used the potty twice today. We started putting him on it last month and he loves it.I put him on after he eat when he gets up from nap and before bed he stays on it the hold time.Good luck it's never to EARLY:-))

I have started potty training with Jazmyn because she was able to tell me when she wanted to go. At first she would tell me that she had just been in her nappy, then she started to tell me before she went. I think they have to have that awareness before they can really understand the potty training. We are taking it slowly and have some wins and some losses. There's no hurry really.
