Powder or Ready to feed formula?

I stopped breastfeeding at 6 weeks cuz it seemed like I can only pump an ounce a day after the 5th week. When I formula feed my daughter, I give her Enfamil Lipil the powder mix with water. I decided to try the ready to feed one and it is so much easier on her stomach. I started a few days ago back to powder because the ready to feed was too costly. She seems to have more gas, and I get 2 instead of 1 dirty diaper a day. Has anyone else tried this?

What do you prefer if you formula feed?

My daughter has a harder time with the powder than RTF. We only use powder when we are out for the day or if she gets up in the middle of the night. RTF isn't much more expensive, at least how I buy it. She also doesn't get nearly as constipated on RTF and she's much less gassy. Some babies just respond differently, I guess!

My daughter has powder formula.However she is on both the gentelease and the lipil with iron.My son had really bad constipation problems and very gasey so we only used the gentlease for him.Since my daughter is only gasey we alternate that 2 different kinds and she seems to be fine with it.

I did read that if baby has trouble with the powder formula that the ready made may be easier for them. I have used both and I really didn't see a difference either way with my son, but he really get very little formula anyway. I pump and he has about 2-3 bottles of formula at night. I buy the powder, because you have to use the ready made so quickly and we don't use enough so it goes do waste and since there is no difference with him I use the powder.

Yea, I heard every baby reacts different. Some prefer it, some don't. It's just up to the baby I guess. I mean, she drinks anything, but I'm just studying her reactions I guess.

i seem to have the opposite effect to you. although my son constantly holds on to his wind ... but it seems to be worse when he's on the ready made cow and gate cartons.so i prefer powder.
