My daughter is experiencing her 6 week growth spurt, which means Mummy is feeling like a cow on a milking machine -LOL- I have read plenty saying that they will be more awake and feed more, but I just wanted to hear it from others who have recently been through it. Did you find that your baby was more unsettled? Did they wake up more, spend more time awake? Did they you notice them feeding a lot more?

Just a first time nervous Mum looking for reassurance :)

Love that I am not alone in this, so great to just be able to read that others are where I am.

my daughter Jordan just hit 7 weeks and she is much more alert and she sleeps through the nite for the most part. She eats more at feeding time but doesnt have as many feeding time as she was before. She fights sleep like crazy... shes nosey and doesnt want to miss anything...lol. And when i left her with my sister for about 2 hours she cried bloody murder been once i was back she was very calm, other than those moments she isnt fussy at all.

My son is 7wks old and he is wide awake during the day now. Fights sleep like crazy too!! Which means he is a lot more fussy now. He has been eating SO much more than he used to. At first I was scared to let him eat so much, cuz I didn't want his lil tummy to hurt, but he did fine. I am also a first time mom, but I have worked in daycares for over 5 years with the babies and toddlers. Although I have worked with babies before I still get nervous..lol So your not alone with your baby being awake more, eating more, and being unsettled. :) Hang in there...I have heard, and I know it will get better soon!

Hiya! My little boy Aaron will be 7 weeks old tomorrow, and for the last week he has been a nightmare lol! He has been really unsettled during the day, wont sleep and just wants to be held all the time! He is also feeding loads more, 100ml - 130ml every 2-3 hours, which surprised me especially as he was premature and still quite small, but suppose he's just catching up! Got our doctors appts for us both this week so will be able to see if everything is in order :-)
