My son will not take milk out of a sippy cup. I have tried everything. He only wants his bottle. I had nursed him until 6 months of age and he was always distracted with that. He never really took the formula from the bottle either, but when we got onto milk we gave it to him in the bottle instead of the sippy cup (actually I think we tried the cup but he wouldn't take it). Any ideas?

We had the same problem with our son. He loves hsi sippy cup but only with water, no juice, milk, etc. He was still on a bottle up until a few days ago. He was down to 2-3 a day but had to have them because he refused to take milk unless it was warm with cereal from a bottle. I noticed about a week or so a go he had begun to wean himself from the bottle and was only taking one 8 oz at bedtime, he would eat yogurt and other milk products throughout the day. So a couple of days a go he woke up from a nap and was thirsty so I thought hey I'm just gonna give it a try again so I filled his sippy cup half and half with white and chocolate milk. He loved it and has not had a bottle since. Now I know that chocolate milk is not as healthy as white but my goal is to gradually decrease the amount of chocolate I put in it and eventually have none. Sometimes I think we put too much stress on ourselves and rush our kiddos to give these things up and truthfully they will do it all in their own time. Good luck and I hope this helps.

We are having a similar problem, except he will only take juice in his sippy cup. No milk, no chocolate milk, no water... just juice. What I did instead was I kept giving him juice in his sippy cup but taught him how to drink out of a straw and he will now drink anything out of the straw and cup... lol but will still only have juice in the sippy cup. Hope this works for ya!

nathan only drinks milk from a sippy cup every now and then usually he just pours it all over the house if i give it him in a sippy cup. he doesn't have a proper bottle he has a beaker with teat in the style of a sippy cup.
