hi all, i just need advice, my doctor isn't exactly being helpful in this but me and hubby have been trying to concieve our second child now for a year. I have PCOS and we did concieve very early on in trying but had a miscarriage at 6 weeks. i'm now being told just keep at it and it'll happen. i'm getting fustrated by it all as my period cycle varies between 28 - 68 days so i can't even go by the usual symptoms!!! my hubby keeps joking that we should have shares in pregnancy tests!
does anyone know of different ways to help conception in these circumstances?

I tried for 1 year with my oldest daughter, I have PCOS did 1 round of clomid and got pregnant. 18months later I wanted to try again, my doc said to try for 3 months if nothing then clomid, did 2 months (2nd month period was started via meds) then started clomid again, only 2 months and got pregnant with my daughter who is 3.5 months old. I used the ovulation kits too never got a positive test with out clomid. I would try the ovulation kits and if no ovulation then see if you can get clomid. Oh I was on metformin too! (for my PCOS/insulin resistance). Not sure if or when we will try again. Other wise find another doctor! Another thing is get your man's sperm checked, lot cheaper than us getting all of our test done!!! Plus they (men) like hearing their men are good:) LOL!!

I would definitely suggest investing in an ovulation indicator kit so you know when you ovulate. Generally doctors won't do any kind of fertility treatments until you've been trying unsucessfully for at least 1yr.

you need herbal agnus castus, helps to regulate your body, and might help with your periods. research it through the internet.

Acupuncture!!! My husband and I tried for 3 years and were "diagnosed" with "unexplained infertility". Basically nothing was wrong but I wasn't getting pregnant. I became depressed & a friend suggested acupuncture for at minimum stress relief 6 weeks into weekly sessions I had a positive test! I kept going through the first trimester and had a healthy baby girl. She is 20 mo. old and I'm now 5 months into an unexpected pregnancy. Acupuncture and some diet changes can make a huge difference in your health and fertility.
Good luck!

have you tried ovulation sticks? you use them as you'd use a prenancy test. they come in a 7-pack and store brand, Target, Walgreents, is just as accurate as name brand. that's what i did.

hi, you might benefit from the ovulation indicator kit you get at chemists? lets you know when more fertile apparently. one brand is Clear blue in Australia.
