My 1-year baby doesn't accept milk from bottle. He wants me to breadfeed before he goes to bed, and then he will wake up in the middle of the night out of hunger! What do you feed the baby before he goes to bed?

My son eats dinner about an hour before bed so he's pretty full from that. He east dinner around 5:30, then bath, brush teeth, few minutes of play, story, 4 oz bottle then bed. He seems pretty full from that. I say nurse before he goes to bed. My son weaned himself right at a year and wants nothing to do with nursing anymore. I miss it, but he doesn't seem to care.

Try breads or oats something heavy or with more carb's to keep his stomac full all night. it helps to offer a cup of milk as well. i use a sippy of whole milk or if you still want put breast milk in the cup. he might not drink or eat much but even a little bit will get him through the night.since i've taken my daughter off the bottle during the day she's actually refusing one to go to bed.

Yogert is another good "snack" before bed that seems to really fill my son, before I started giving him that he would wake up around 2 wanting a bottle but now he sleeps right through

I agree try oatmeal, or some kind of cereal, it's very filling and good for the baby.

My son is nursed, but then spoon fed hot cereal before bedtime. He loves oatmeal. I gave up the bottle, he really wasn't interested. He drinks from a cup. Lately a tried a straw cup and he loves it, but still doen't take a lot of milk from it. I am in the process of weaning and am down to 2 nursings a day.
