What did you do for your childs first birthday?

Just curious what you did or were planning for your childs first birthday?

My son Gaige turns 1 this Friday so Friday I am having all his grandparents over for desserts. Then the festivities begin the following Saturday I have about a dozon kids coming over and we have a John Deere theme from Pinatas to door activites and john deere place mate activites. I found a John Deere cake, John Deere 1st Birthday bib and hat. All the decorations from ballons, to plates and cups are all in the same theme. And for his present we found him a John Deere SUV walkalong walker as he is not walking yet but he can ride around on it when he is.... Sooo excited would love to hear what others did or are planning on doing for theres.

I am renting the local arena because they have big upstairs .. I am just having famiy and close friends.. theycan go skating for an hour and then just eating and haning out..nothing big this year
