We named our daughter Maryk Ann. We combined the three sets of grandparents. His parents had divorced loooong ago. So we chose Maryk a version from Marek from stepdad's last name. Ann from my mom's middle name and of course his surname from his father. So now it sounds like american when said together! LOL Maryk is 3 now, and yes it gets said alot! lol We had looked everywhere but haven't found a girl version of merrick anywhere. We do get people saying Mary kay, and yes we would correct them. lol

My son's name is Jaxon Curtis. Curtis is a family name on his fathers side that had to be there. But we wanted something different and could not come up with one we liked except Jackson which is not uncommon so we decided to change the spelling to add the uncommon and that is how we came up with Jaxon Curtis Caw!

My Little Miss Sunshine's names are : Haydenn - Kayla - Gayatri - Violette. Her nickname is Haydy.

We are French- and in France we can, and often do, give a few names but only use the first one. It's a numerology and energy matter- Also, as a grown up she'll be able to choose to use an other name, than the first one, if she wish.

Haydenn because of peaceful Scottish and Irish landscapes (nothing to do with France!) it sounds sweets in French and is extremely rare here.

Kayla because it means "like god" in hebrew - Shorty of Michaela

Gayatri because it is a major godess in Hindou India

Violette because I just love the color purple (Violet in French) and is a very sweet little flower -and nicer than Marguerite, also a sweet flower, name I wanted to give my daughter when I was a child.

I have no idea how you value names regarding to french culture and sounding but I thought it was nice to see how cultures relate to names, as I really like to read all of your baby's names.
