My baby is 5 months old and can't sit up by herself yet so can't go in a high chair, and she tips over in her bouncer chair, so what do you sit them in to feed?

Bumbo!! We started using it when my son was around 4 months old. It was an awesome thing to let my son sit in, to feed him. And it also taught him how to sit better :) I loved that thing!

you know it's never crossed my mind to use the bumbo chair. I thought it was for older kids??? I just sit him in his boppy. I noticed that he tries to sit up more on his own when I do that.

We got the highchair that attaches to a regular kitchen chair and you can adjust the tilt. It was not expensive and works great for a little one who can't quite sit up alone yet. The best part is that it becomes a booster chair and grows with your little one!!!

We have a recliner chair by chico for our son and he's 5 months. He's been in it since birth and it's the one in the photo. It can be used at a staionery point ot as a rocker. He's only just started to sit up now, and you have to watch them when they get to sitting and crawling, Aaron decided to get upand crawl backwards out of it 2 weeks ago. The bottom folds under so it's like his own little sofa as he gets older.

Hope that helps.

Both my twins love their Bumbos. And I take them everywhere, especially when we go out to eat. We put them up on the table and they love it. But at home to feed them, I love the space saver chair from Target as well. Because they lean back in it, it is perfect for babies up through toddlers.

A bumbo can be used from 3 or 4 months I think. I use it to feed my 5 month old. An exersaucer/activity centre is also good as it props them up really well...

I also have the Bumbo chair but my daughter is already pretty good at sitting on her own...she barely falls over anymore. I usually use her highchair when feeding her and her bumbo or walker if shes watching a tv show or sumthing.

I purchased a "bumbo" chair from a local online used forum. They retail for about 50$ CDN but are pretty neat. They allow babies who can hold their heads well to sit up and build core strength. There are also trays that go with the bumbo and I find it great for feeding.

I use the bumbo also. I got the tray attachment too. My little one loves it. Every time I put him in it, and put on his bib, he knows what is coming and smiles huge!

How about her car seat? If you still use the carrier car seat that is! That is what our sitter uses for feedings. We use the Bouncer but if your daughter can tip hers over then that suggestion is out. We also sit her in her exersaucer with towels to prop her, and her swing. Any of those would work in a pinch.

Hi there...I found a high chair at target that was great and cheap! It is the first years chair that attaches to a regular chair and the seat has different tilt settings so you can tip it back like a car seat. It works great! You get the tray too. I tried using the bumbo, but dd can squirm around too much in it and made a mess!

I put my little guy in a Bumbo chair at 5 months! I would just sit it up on the kitchen counter and feed him right in there. He's 6 months old now and I just prop him up in his high chair with towels. Experiment a bit.
