I've been breastfeeding 3 times a day and have now weaned my daughter off of daytime breastfeedings and am just nursing at bedtime. I still haven't gotten my periodI and am wondering when other breastfeeding mothers got theirs.

yes you can get pregnant with out gettin your period..i got mine back when she was 2 months i had to stop breast feeding my baby when she was 2 months cause she was in childrens for awhile and pumping wasnt strong enough.

I just stopped breastfeeding about a month ago and still don't have it. I want to start trying for baby number 2 soon. Can I get pregnant without it?

I had two irregular spotty periods when I started weaning my daughter. But it didn't become fairly regular until after I had completely stopped nursing and pumping (I did both until my daughter was almost one).

I am still nursing my 13 month old. I never got my period back... just got pregnant on my very first ovulation cycle when my daughter was 11 months old... So the myths you cannot get pregnant while breastfeeding or before your period returns are false!! :) I am going to continue nursing her throughout the pregnancy.

I just got my period back, much to my dismay, a couple months ago. I didn't realize how much I enjoyed not having it!

I nursed exclusively for almost 11 months, got my period back (on a regular cycle) when my daugher was about 6 months old. It's diffierent for everyone, so there is nothing to worry about. But now that you have cut down the number of feedings, you may get it back, maybe not until you wean all the way.

Congrats on nursing past 1 year - great for you and baby!!
