I am a new mom and trying to expand my small jewelry business. I started at local flea markets and craft show in the northeast oklahoma area. I also have a website www.beautyandthebead.etsy.com. If anyone has suggestions I would love to hear them.

Sure I wil post some pictures either today or tomorrow. I used jewelry making books alot when I first started to get Ideas. After a while you really don't need them anymore. Ideas will start coming to you a lot easier. I will post some of my best sellers. I mainly use natural stone and swarovski crystals. I have made some strictly wire pieces, but they are time consuming and don't sell as well because I have to pirce them so high.

I got lucky looking on craigslist for local fairs and art shows. Art shows are a lot of fun!

Hello, I am brand new at this. I started beading with my daughter for a mother daughter activity. I started wearing my jewerly and people would offer to by my jewerly right off me. In the mean time my daughter and I kept making and making. I am just getting the point where I hope to sell some in a craft fair around Christmas time. But boy am I nervous. I dont really know what I should do and not do. Reading everyone's post has helped my a bit. I have my jewerly posted on my facebook and myspace. But I am a little unsure on how to do my own jewerly site. I guess that will come in time.

Hi Megan. I tried to go look at your website but I wasn't able to see any pics. Is there a problem with the site? I also make jewelry, when I have time. I have sold at several craft fairs in my town & helped with fundraisers at a nursing home I work at as a therapist. I have wanted to get a website started but it's a bit intimidating to me. I am anxious to see your site. I will try it again later.

Take care, Kathleen

I would like to make some bead and wire jewellery or decorations to sell. Do you have any patterns that you would like to share?

I have made some cute little angels to hang on the christmas tree or on a key ring etc etc. If you are interested pleae let me know and I will post a picture of them.

Good luck. I'll check out your etsy site! I have one too, but have only sold 1 item in a year. It's a goal for me to get some new items up.
In the meantime, I have jewelry/craft blog if you'd like to visit. I do a lot of recycled jewelry and polymer clay beads.
