So I have shared custody of my son...it's consistant...I get him on my day's off...I work a rotating schedule of 3 on 3 off...when its time for bed my son will not stay in bed or want to sleep with myself or his brother. Seem's like its a security thing but not sure...should I let this continue?

maybe he feels a little unsettled? Susie shares a room with Kayla(she's 7) and there sometimes issues with a little blonde headed almost kindergartener stayin in bed. Could be the energy from the older brother is causing him to get restless. Also could be his way of making sure mommy is there.Could you put like an old shirt(that has your scent on it) on his bed. Maybe if he could smell your scent if he woke up in middle of night it will calm him down. I had hubby's shirt in his spot on bed when he was deployed to Iraq. It made feel calmer(also was dealing with newborn son alone back n 03) and a bit at peace.

Well. I I've tried that but he seems to get this crazy amount of energy...he does have an older brother he shares a room with. Could be a big factor

My daughter used to do that too. I just started tucking her in, let her pick out a book to read, and we bought a night light. And go to my room as soon as she fell asleep (which would be 15minutes after bedtime). Little by little she didn't have the need to sleep in my bed anymore. It takes time.
