It's hard to keep my daughter's diaper area free from a rash because I believe that she drinks too much and is always wet. What is the best diaper rash ointment to use and is baby powder effective for diaper rash? She is 2 years old.

I found a miracle cream for diaper rash. I started using it when my oldest child was a baby, that was 16 yrs ago. It is called Resinol. It is an ointment sold in pharmacy's you need to ask for it, they have it behind the counter although it is expensive ($7) it will last forever. I still use it on all my kids for different kinds of rashes or burns.

Burts bees ointment is the best. It is more dry so it doesn't wash off as easily like with urine. If rash is really bad I have added baby powder on top of it, but baby powder alone is not enough. You may have to check online to see what stores near you sell it in your area.

I really liked to use Desitin on my niece and on my son. It is really thick! It makes sure she stays nice and dry. Powder can be added on it but it might make it too dry. Hope this helps.
