Mine wasn't, he was super interested in the potty around 15 months. He would follow me to the bathroom, and started sitting down whenever I did, then one day I said this is it. I took off the diapers, and sat on the potty for a full day, then the next few days we stayed in the same room as the potty, and got further away as the days went on. He was fully trained at 22 months. It was summer and he spent much time naked. Now he makes it throught the night as well.
Just wait till they show interest.

You know, I've found that when I don't push him he does it on his own. Boys take longer than girls. Be patient and don't put a diaper on at all only when he goes to bed. I know it's lots of work but that's what worked for us.

I spoke with a friend yesterday who's 29 month old has no interest in potty training ; what I suggest is consistant training. Each morning lead your child to pee also start timing after meals or liquids 15 - 20 mins they may begin to stoop or stand still in a 'deer in head lights gaze' at that moment lead to potty . Always reward with hug , song or dance ....kids loves silly praising parents . Also as my kids trained I looted liquids after 8 pm . Patience and consistancy has paid off. Don't become frustrated Moms they'll get it! My sons favorite phrase "I did it!"

my son keegan is 28 months and is getting better on the potty. he wont poop in it yet but tells me right after he does it in his diaper which is a good sign. he pees in the urinal most of the time at daycare but doesnt really like sitting down when he pees so its a little more difficult for me to train him at home

Well my boy is being really hard to potty train, when I leave him on his underwear he pees and tell me he did it, but will not ask before. I tried taking him to his potty he just scream. Only wants to play with it even put it on his head but no pee in the potty. I dont know what I am going to do since I have one on the way and I really dont want to have 2 in diapers.

I feel like its never going to be over. I started potty training my son when he turned two, he does good most of the time with pee but number two he just doesn't have it yet, it is driving me crazy I have to keep reminding myself he will get it.

We tried at 24m and no interest at all,at 26 all over sudden started going to his potty and we would dance for doing a poo he would bring his pants so started taking him to the toilet when i was going and literally tell him what am doing and bang his doing his poo in the toilet,so he uses both but only his second one in the toilet.
You just have to be patient all babys are ready at there own time.

I feel your pain! My daughter is 28 months and she has no desire to train. She was doing REALLY well. She was doing so well that her daycare provider said she was ready for underwear. Then she got sick. She sometimes asks to go, but the majority of the time she will refuse and will scream if we try to put her on. I don't know what to do either.

My son started pooping in his potty w/o me asking him around 21 months and he officially became potty trained @28mths. I was so frustrated because my daughter was such a breeze to train. I simply invited my 3 year old niece over for the weekend and my daughter follwed her each time as her ppotty ws in teh bathroom..and bam! It was done at 18 mths she was POTTY TRAINED! However I had to do a song and dance (literally) sing and dance each time Jr went ot potty ,I never spanked him for accidents and yes,he's even nightime p/t no pull-ups.

My daughter is 26mnts and we are still midst potty training, sometimes she will ask to go to the toilet, sometimes she will run away in a strop if the potty is mentioned. i've been putting her in normal pants a few hours a day to get her used to it, she has had a few accidents but is picking up on it slowly but surley. found lots of praise and stickers when she does something on the toilet or potty has worked wonders.

My daughter just started asking every couple hours to go to the potty. I hadn't really been pushing it- i figured she was still pretty young, and there is time. But she totally shocked me yesterday when I didn't have to change her diaper at all until bedtime. She asked and went every single time she needed! I think I will be switching to pull-ups this weekend!

My son was really into potty training and then he got Bronchitis and didn't want anything to do with the potty. Now it's about 5 months later and he will come up to me and ask for his diaper to be changed or sometimes he will just go into the bathroom and ask if he can go on the big potty. I haven't really tried to potty train him, I feel like he will know when he's ready and I'm okay with changing diapers until he's comfortable enough to go by himself (unless it gets outrageous like he waits till he's 5 or something...lol)

My daughter started doing it herself around 19 months, which is REALLY early. Then she got sick, GI issues and wouldn't go near the potty again. Then around 26 or 27 months we would put her on the potty and she would just scream. A week later she started telling me "pee-pee on the potty". Since then it's been going great. Our potty training involved a lot of naked time, since she would take off her diaper and pants but I think it worked for it, she only had 1 or 2 accidents that way. Good luck!

dont rush she will go when she is ready. My son actually is fully potty trained and because I let him do it when he was ready he did not even want to wear a diaper at all NOT EVEN TO GO TO BED he love his big boy's and I do too lol
