Hi everyone,

Welcome to the July 2007 Babies community, where we chat about our July 2007 children and whatever else is on our minds!

To get things started, I thought it would be nice if we all introduced ourselves in this thread, which will be pinned to the community home page. Whether you're a Circle of Moms veteran or you're new to the site, let us know who you are, what you’re interested in, and what your lovely July 2007 child is up to right now, developmentally speaking!

Hi! My name is Jessica and my daughter Caitlyn turned 2 on July 13th. She was a Friday the 13th girl. I am a United States Navy Veteran. I served in the Navy for 4 years. Where I met my husband of 5 years. As for my daughter, she is not talking much. She says simple things like mama, dada but not much else. She is also a very picky eater. All she will eat are things that are hard. Like chips, crackers. She also eats applesauce and bananas but that's it. So I give her V8 Fusion juice just so she gets her fruits and veggies everyday.

Hello! My name is Linda. I'm mommy to a soon to be 13 year old girl, named Sierra, and a 2 yr old boy, named Matthew. Matthew loves to play cars, trains & everything else that other little boys play. He absolutely LOVES to play outside and is really becoming an independant little boy rather than my baby. Boo Hoo! Matthew is a really great eater, usually eating what ever you put in front of him. Matthew amazes most people by how well he can speak. And his manners are FABULOUS! On Halloween he would say "Thank You" and if the person didn't say "You're Welcome" he'd say that too! lol
I'm looking forward to getting to know more moms with kids the same age as Matthew.

We have a very close bond but she is fiercely independent, funny and smart I cried laughing when she said 'Mummy I've dropped my biscuit, I'm devistated' Look forward to getting to know other mums.

Hello! My name is Adelia and I am a SAHM to 3 kids Delilah will be 5 in Jan, Gustaf was born July 4th 2007 so hes 2 and Carson is 7mos! Gustaf has been fully potty trained since just before his 2nd birthday, I decided after my youngest was born it was time to be done with diapers so I bought one last pack and by the time we were out of them he was going all day w/out accidents, he wears cloth diapers at night as a precaution but most nights its dry! If I put a regular diaper on him he wets but cloth he goes 90% of the time dry! He is talking very well, and learning his numbers and letters right now he counts perfectly to 2 but never quite gets to three :)) lol he is a very busy boy and if not entertained is very good at finding his own entertainment...which usually results in more work than taking the time to entertain him would be! He is a very sweet boy and is always wanting to help me....which creates a problem because my daughter is a helper too so they fight over helping me! good problem to have i guess! He has such a servants heart. He is so charming, everyone who spends time with him falls in love :)

And my youngest Samantha was born 09/09/09. We have a 4month old male pit bull who belongs to my husband but has become another of my babies. His name is Coon. And my oldest was given a female pit mix by my BIL as an early bday present. She is a day older than my youngest. Her name is Sparkles. Our house is a crazy house sometimes but wouldnt change it for a thing. My Ava is just now starting to talk. But thanks to Dora and Ki Lan I think she speaks more spanish and chinese than she does english. Oh well. She is a sweet, adorable ball of energy. She was babyed way too much but is starting to show her independence and what she can do without mine or my oldest help! Im so proud of her.

I am a stay-at-home mom, and wife-in-training until May, when I become just "wife". Corbin is a joker and prankster! He's tried fake snoring to make me think he's already taken his nap, put his bug toys in my shoes, and loves to hide then "surprise" you! I like to crochet in my spare time, and on Mondays, I usually play a role-playing game with my fiance and our friend (yes, I am a proud nerd). Corbin recently found the delights of Star Wars: Episode 1. He is also a football fanatic!!!

I asked her Doctor about the whole not eating thing(she can go days) and all she said was that they know when they are hungary and you can't force her to eat.Is anyone else having this problem with thier kids? Hi my name is Rachel and I have a beautiful lil boy and his name is Alex. He is so independent now it is amazing. He is not potty training yet, but hopefully soon. ;-) . He loves puzzles and helping me clean the house. He is a little chatter box too...he says please and thank you to everything. Couple things that he does that makes me upset are: if I tell him no or he doesn't get his way he will hit himself in the face. Is this normal? My mom said I had a temper on me when i was his age and did the same things. Its just so upsetting and to be quite honest with you ladies It makes me cry. And he throws himself to the ground sometimes too...How do I explain to him not to do this anymore? Other than that, he is a bouncing baby boy. Normally he is pretty happy, but just when he gets mad, he really gets mad.

She is talking and using bigger words than the older two were at this age. She has started potty training herself and loves anything having to do with pampering herself(baths, brushing teeth, etc.). My Maggie turned 2 on July 6 and is very much a little Mommy, trying to tell her big sisters what to do. My middle daughter has started half-day K and Maggie loves having Daddy to herself in the mornings. She loves shoes and clothes, she is my little diva.

From October through April, you can find us at Staples Center cheering on the Kings. I got my son hooked (just like me) and all of his first words were hockey related.

Nick is in to everything! There is no point babyproofing anything because my little engineer has it figured out in 5 minutes. He loves all kinds of sports and our backyard looks like a locker room!

In my spare time (like I have any!) I scrapbook.

Hi everyone, my name is Nyla. I am a sahm with 3 kids, 18 yrs, 14 yrs and my baby Cecilia born 7/11/07. Big age gap between the middle and youngest but even with the juggling required to manage the kids widely varied interests, I'm having a great time. Oh, and yes, we did plan for Cecilia LOL (we get that question all the time =) I love this age, it's amazing to watch a 2 yo develop their independence and personality. I feel like Cecilia is turning into this cool little person right in front of my eyes. Most recently I've been blown away by her use of the word "because". Don't know why, but that really got me. Although I'm enjoying every little accomplishment and milestone, I almost wish it would slow down. With the 18yo leaving for college, I'm truly struck by how quickly this time passes, I feel like he was 2 yesterday.

Hi Mums. My names Sam i live in Cornwall, UK and im a stay at home mum and also an Usborne books rep. Oliver is 4 in nov and Alfie was born on 6th july, so has just turned 2- like all your children!

Alfie has started pre school this month and doing well, i think it helps that his big bro is there at the same time. My boys are my life and i love them, they are a joy to us both and a great blessing.

I had a tough birth with Alfie, my womb ruptured during labour, from previous c section, he then became distressed and his heartbeat went, i had another c section minutes later, he was born a blue baby and surgeons saved his life. He was a big blonde baby, 8lb 4oz. I loved him. We went home the next day and then the day after i thought pulled a muscle getting out of bed, i told my midwfe and was in great pain. She felt my tummy, said i was fine, i saw her every day and a doctor on the last, i was in agony and told just to rest. 4 days after 'pulling a mscle' my partner took me to the hospital. They operated few hours l;ater. I had servere peritonitis, my bowel had stopped working and my womb was very inflamed.... when i 'pulled my muscle' it was my womb that had ruptured again. I was unbelievably still alive. My organs was slowing shutting done because of the peritonitis. I was in hospital for 3weeks and made a slow recovery.

I Thank God that i'm alive today. It was hard and i'll never forget what happened but Alife really is my life.

Thought that was the best way to introduce myself.....

Hi I am Kerry and my little girl Kiah was 2 on 4th july, she is so much more independent than my son was and is already fully potty trained, night and day since just before her 2nd bday, she can use a pen, feed herself etc...only problem Im finding is her speach is much poorer than my son was at her age, she can talk and always gets her opinion and what she wants across but with only a few words...my son was having full blown conversations at this age, but she regulary uses words such as delicious and disgusting and beautiful in the right context....Im wondering if she is just a lazy talker?

By the way my son will be 6 in feb and is in year 1 at school.
