My son's father wanted the name Christopher.I hadn't chosen a middle name by the time I had him so when I was in the delivery room and they asked me what his name was,the middle name Jordan just popped into my head.My mother later asked me what made me think of the name Christopher Jordan and I told her I don't know.It just came to me.She then told me that the name Christopher means Christ Bearer and that Christ was borne across the Jordan river. She's knows the Bible and stuff but that was kind of weird. My daughter was named Michelle Alicia because I wanted a name that you didn't hear too often back then and her middle name was for a girl I used to work with who when I was pregnant with her I got so big that I was unable to do certain things at work and the only person who would help me,her name was Alicia.

Well our daughters name is Madison Lynn. Her daddy wanted a son...to be named after him, but it was a girl so he said he wanted her to have his initials. His name is Mathew Christopher. Well I really liked the name Madison, but couldn't come up with a name that started with a "C" that I liked and sounded good with Madison. I later found out that the name Madison was derived from Mathew (so kinda named after her daddy). So I gave up on finding a "C" name and gave her my middle name Lynn. I figured daddy was getting the first name and the last name, so why couldn't I get something in there!! LOL!

My hubby loves the name Mia Sara (after the actress) ever since he was in his early/mid teens, so when Baby #1 was a girl, no arguing what her name would be.

Well, my oldest is Jillian Elizabeth..... I fell in love with the name Jillian when I was 4years old! It was destined to be my first daughter's first name. Elizabeth comes from my best friend - her middle name is Elizabeth, and it just had such perfect flow with Jillian.

Sarah Elaine, our youngest, was named by my husband. No rhyme or reason for the specifics, it was just a name that he threw out and BAM! It was perfect!

The second her father named after the Eric Clapton song" Layla" and her middle name is after his grandma. So we have Layla Kathleen

My daughter born July 1, 2007 is Karisma Le

Karisma is a mix of my husbands and my name, and Le is his mothers maiden name

My youngest daughter born May 1, 2009 is Kaedence Harmony

Cadence is Irish, which is my heritage, but we spelled it with a "K" for my middle name "Kae" and Harmony was to keep with the musical theme.

Jane Morgan is my July 2007 daughter :) Not named after anyone, we just liked the name. We had a hard time deciding on girls names (She would have been Arthur James if she were a boy-- my FIL's middle name and my dad's first name).

Number 2 on the way in October and we've chosen Harper Simone. She would have been Silas James (we just liked it better than Arthur). Harper Lee, was our inspiration.

My son Kaleb Thomas, The first name I've loved for forever and the middle name was my dad and is my brother's first name. So it was important to me to use there name since my dad didn't get a chance to meet his grandson.

I'm expecting another li'l boy and we're going with Ethan Michael. Ethan again is just a name we liked and agreed upon haha.. believe me this was difficult! We're both VERY stubborn. And we want all the middle names of our children to have meaning to us and to come from a family member. Michael is his stepfather and my uncle's first name.

well i have 2 girls Ember Rain (5) the name just came to me.. and River Pearl (almost 2) we always knew her middle name would be Pearl (bc it's my middle name and both my grandmothers! and she was even born on my paternal gramndmothers bday.. perfect) and we had no idea on a first name... hubby and i couldnt' agree on anything so we asked big sister-to-be "what do you want to name your baby sister?" snd she said "how about River?" and there ya go!

[deleted account]

We wanted names that were easy to pronounce in both French and English- Simon, Justin, and Sophie. My hubby and I are both bilingual (native French speakers) but some members of our families and some of our friends only speak English, and these fit perfectly! Also, they're short, easy to spell and go well with my hubby's last name, not to mention that they aren't overly common names. Their middle names- André, Daniel, and Lyne respectively- also fit this profile!

As a side note, my hubby and I were glad that Sophie was a girl, since we had not picked any names for a boy lol...:)

My daughter Alexandrea Lorraine was named after a very good friend of mine, Alexander, i couldn't name her Alex, I didn't care too much for the actual spelling of Alexandria, I liked the name Andrea, so I put the two together. Her middle name is after another very good high school friend of mine, Tina Lorraine.

Frederick Ulysses & Russell Scott were named by there father, Frederick's middle name was after a greatgrandfather or some sort. Russell Scott was named after two good friends of his.

Tristan Manuel was named after the movie, Legends of the Fall, ironic enough, he came out with blue eyes too, like Brad Pitt.....lol! Manuel is after my Dad who passed away 1yr. 8 days before he was born. It brought much saddness to my heart knowing my Dad would never know or see his grandson, but one day, believe this or not, when Tristan was two he saw a picture of my Dad and asked me if that was his Papa. My other children, or anyone else in the family ever talked to him about my Dad. I got chills so bad, it brought tears to my eyes.

Last, but definately not least, Nevaeh Ardella Annette. Nevaeh is Heaven backwards, her father picked that, Ardella, after her grandmother on her fathers side. Annette, after my bestfriend of 33 years.

My son's name is Connor Sage Valentine. Connor came from the fact that both sides of my family are Scotts-Irish and his biological father has Irish descent as well. Sage came from his paternal biological grandmother having always liked the name and since I refused to give my son his biological father's last name I included his BF's middle name as well. The Scotts-Irish naming turned out to be a good thing as my boyfriend and soon to be husband's family is heavily Scottish as well. I stayed out of family names since all but Columbus for males had been used at least once on both sides of my family and I didn't want to be confused later since there are a lot of repeats in my family. Take my mom and my aunt for instance...Linda Gail and Linda Gale...they married brothers....talk confusing.

well i originally wanted either Jordan or Shannon, but low and behold my dad came to me and said: Why dont you just name the baby Shaul because it will be after his late brother. So i went away and thought about, but i thought what other name will go with it, dad came along again and said: Leib which means life. So thats where the Shaul-Leib came into it.
But i manage to just call him Shaulie for short for now, as he is ONLY 20 mths. So its all good and everyone else loves it :-)

My daughter's name is Chloe Leigh.  I stumbled on Chloe in the name book, fell in love with it.  My hubby said okay as long as we could pair it with a decent sounding middle name.  About 2 months before she came we finally decided on Leigh.  I love her n;ame because its not as common as some names, yet it isn't weird or completly uncommon.

Alexander Nathanial
If I'd had a girl, I wanted her middle name to be Alexandria (I'm really into Egyptology) and Nathanial's a character in Geoff Wayne's War of the Worlds, which I love.

Tejon Bryn Eddie Tim.
Tejon is Spanish for badger, we just liked the way it sounds. Bryn's my husband's dad's name, Eddie is my dad and Tim is my best friend.

My daughter's name is Joanna Teresia Christina.

Joanna because it's a rare name in Swedish (here more girls are named Johanna) and so pretty!

Teresia is my paternal great grandmothers middle name, and

Christina is my middle name (it goes back to my maternal great great great grandmother!).

Also, which we didn't think of when we gave her the name Joanna, it means beautiful in my husbands language, so my MIL is happy too!

My daughter is named after me. My husband wanted to name her "Michelle", which is my name and I did not want a jr after me, so we named her Makayla, which is Michelle in Hawaiian.  Allthough alot of people spell it Michaela or something like that .  Her middle name is Lynn and that is after my little cousin, and my husbands sister who passed away.

With our son, we wanted to keep him with name that started with an M because we are: Matthew, Michelle, & Makayla (The M&M's... and No, it actually was not on purpose!!)  So we named him Morrison, and his middle name is Glenn, which is my husbands middle name, who he was actually named after his grandfather, so it is a family name.

Andrew and Jody were decided after birth! They were born 10 weeks early on 7/27/07.

Andrew Lee: We liked the name Andrew, and call him Drew. Lee is my husband's other middle name.

Jody Christopher: Jody after our best friend, and my husband's fellow brother in arms. They served in Korea, Oklahoma, and Iraq together. Christopher is my husband's first name.

We changed the spelling a bit so it was easier for people to read but the name meant "king" and i just thought that would fit him just right!

My girl's name is Kaiya Soleil. I always knew since I was about 14 that I would have a girl and name her Kaiya. Soleil is french for sun and she is a little ball of sunshine!

Our oldest son is names Xander so we chose Xavier to go with the "x" theme. His middle name is Douglas after my dad. We have two boys so I wanted to get some of my side of the family in there, too. We call him Xavier Douglas all the time (not because he is bad, but because we like it). He'll probably introduce himself as that since we rarely call him only Xavier.
