My son turns 2 on July 3rd, last year we had his party on July 4th because we have a pool in our backyard so we had a pool party, which really turned out to be more for the adults with alcohol and fireworks later in the evening. We grilled out, etc. and the kids played in the backyard. This year we will probably do the same thing, have a pool party, grill out, fireworks, etc. but with my son being a little older and more active, I would like to have his birthday party from like 2-4 or 2-5 and then after that it can be more adult oriented. Does anyone have any suggestions for activities or games we could during "his" party time? I want his time to be special and then after his party, it can be for adults to celebrate July 4th.
