hi, my son was born on the 31st........he weighed 12lbs at the last doctor visit which was about 2 wks ago. He takes 4oz at each feeding. When he is not napping he is very alert. Loves smiling, sucking on his knuckles and "talking". When he is sitting on my lap he holds his head up very well. As far as sleeping........last week I started putting cereal in his bedtime bottle to see if that would help hold him till morning and it did work for the first night. But after that we are back to the normal waking up at 3:30am for a feeding.

My son was born on the 14th and right now he smiles, grabs objects, he loves to sit up but you have to hang on to him of course. And for a couple of days he's been sticking his tongue out. He tries to roll over but hasn't quite got it figured out yet and he sleeps clear through the night and has for a while.

Hi! My son was born on the 15th and is almost 15 lbs. He was rolling over all the time when he was a month old, but now he doesn't roll over anymore, I think it's because he is too chunky to go anywhere now! He used to roll over on his tummy and find his thumb and put himself to sleep - so he's a tummy sleeper. He has been sleeping through the night (12-13 hours) since he was 8 weeks old! It's great but because I'm nursing I feel like I'm going to explode in the mornings! He takes about 3 - 2 hour naps during the day. My first child who is 4 years old still doesn't sleep through the night - he woke up every 2-3 hours to nurse until he was a year old and only took 10 minute long naps. It just shows how different all kids are! I don't think anyone should worry if their kid isn't sleeping through the night yet, especially if they're breastfed. Breastmilk is digested faster than formula.
He smiles and laughs all the time! And he loves talking, but he hasn't quite learned what to do with his mouth yet so he tries to talk with his mouth closed - it's really cute! He is drooling quite a lot now and I think he is about to get some teeth! He holds his head up very good. He is just started to hold objects and want to play! I'm excited to see what he does next!

My daughter was born on the 9th. She has been sleeping through the night for about a month or so. She loves to lay on her back and entertain herself with her hands and talk away to anyone who will listen. She also laughs a few times a day but it's hard to tell what's going to make her laugh. She sits up while assisted and got her 2nd tooth a few days ago (the first one was right at 3 months). She hasn't rolled over from her stomach yet because she hates to be on her stomach but she pushes herself up to look around while she's there. She rolls from her back to her side easily though so she's halfway there.

Hi! Here's my experience with my little one, born on the 7th. She weighs about 16 lbs. (a guess because we haven't had a dr. appt. in a while). She smiles, but not all the time. She holds her head up and has begun to try to push up while on her tummy, but doesn't last too long. She coos and laughs....not a full laugh, but a short grunty laugh. She sleeps through the night EVERY night, and I usually wake her after 9 hours because I'm nursing and am ready to explode! (I can't wait until I can sleep in like that!) She tracks objects with her eyes in all directions, she puts her hands in her mouth and drools like crazy. She plays with toys, although she hasn't fully grasped them purposefully yet. She does interact with the toys in her exersaucer.

My daughter was born on the 4th and she is almost 11 lbs. She rolled over a few times a couple of weeks ago but hasn't done again. She smiles and coos and laughes (which I think is the BEST sound in the whole world). She's slept through the night a couple of times but not on a regular basis yet.

Hi my daughter was born the 19th... she is over 16 lbs now, 24 inches long. She sleeps through the night 12-13 hours, laughs smiles, 2 or 3 20minute naps, shes held her head up perfect since her first day out! Crazy. She grabs things and puts them in her mouth, she rolls almost over, from bell to side, or side to something.

My daughter was also born on the 30th:) So far she's smiling, cooing, grabbing and batting at objects. She was always been good at holding her head and neck. No rolling over yet. Sleeping is so so. Sometimes she wants to resist taking naps- it's like she might be missing something. At night- she still is waking up to nurse. Everyone talks about cereal, but we don't go to see the pediatrian for another month. I might put in a call to see what he thinks.
